Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
It seemed like Kerberos was mostly happy with the effect that tossing the bit of rat towards Bones had. Sure, one of his heads was upset, but as he laid down and waited for the painted dog to finish his meal, crimson-nose snatched up a nearby bone and began to chomp at it... dry as it was.
As Bones began to groom himself, however, the rather messy puppy took notice. What was he doing? Licking himself like that... Curious, the two heads that weren't enjoying a bone snack began to groom one another. Sure, he licked himself sometimes, but cleanliness wasn't something the pup had ever paid attention to but seeing Bones do it, well... Monkey see monkey do!
Or doggie do.
"You caught it! Thank you!" He argued, flashing a rather accidentally frightening grin. His tail started to wag wildly as the pup started to treat him less like something to be frightened by and more like a fellow friend.
Of course, the only natural response the dog could have when Bones cautiously approached to give him a friendly lick was to rise to his paws and attack! With his tongues. Even the grumpy head joined in, and soon all three tongues were slobbering all over Bones.
Suddenly, Bones found himself drenched in demon-dog drool. He didn't seem to mind, tail thumping off against the ground as he carefully tried to lick each head an equal amount of times.
He was quite happy that he got a new friend, or rather three of them. He paused before asking, "Do all three of you have different names?"
Kerberos had a pause at the question. Again. Why did everyone wonder if he was three things? He was all just one. He knew he was. And yet, and yet... "I am Kerberos," he answered, his tone soft. At this, he paused, sharing looks with himself. It was complicated for him. He was one, yet sometimes his brains would clash.
And then, in a moment of confusion, all three heads barked sharply at once:
"δκαεέρξνιιτσάρτοερά!"
Shyly, the puppy took a step back, looking quite embarrassed with himself. "I... I'm sorry." Bones looked like he had huge, sensitive ears, but that was only half the reason he apologized.

Bones' ears were ringing as all three heads practically screamed directly into both huge ears. There was a moment of silence on the dog's part as he attempted to figure out what Kerberos had said - but he didn't understand it. He barely even heard the apology.
But that was okay. He could forgive his new friends! He'd be a bad friend if he didn't, right?
He licked each head once he regained hearing. "Don't be sorry."
Kerberos didn't know what to think. Despite having three heads all capable of thinking on his own, the big dumb mutt just stood there dumbstruck at his own actions. What even was that? None of the heads could understand what the others had said, since they had all spoke at the same time. Each head couldn't even remember, really, what it had said on its own.
The painted dog seemed quick to reassure him though. With three on-point licks and a gentle, calm sentence, the puppy nodded and laid back down. Exhaustion fell over the hound in one full wave and he plopped his heads down on the bones, looking up at Bones with pitiful gazes in his pink eyes.
"Okay," he whined softly. "Tired... Need to understand better." He sounded half asleep already, as he stared up, blinking eyes turning droopy. One question had been enough to take the hyper dog into a sleepy pile. "Bones can sleep here too, if he wants," he tagged on as he began to yawn, barely awake, mostly talking to himself. "Bones is warm... Cuddly...""Good friend... Strong teeth..."
The wild dog seemed to think. It was either he napped here or back at the den. The descisions barely even clashed - Bones would much rather nap with someone than alone on a cold floor.
The pup moved to curl up to the fuffy demon-dog, snuffling the closest head absently. Kerberos was soft and warm - which was to be expected, of course. Slowly, the dog closed his eyes with a content sigh, drifting off to sleep.
