Sprig nodded in response,
"Of course! And we will use some of them in cooking too, so we can do both." he trailed off, already planning what other fruits blended well with peaches. Although he planned on making some fruit rolls, one did get tired of peach flavored ones after a while, so he figured it would be a good idea to use peaches as the base, but also add other fruits to flavor it differently.
He listened intently as Cadenza described what they saw.
"How strange... but interesting!" Sprig knew not how to do that kind of magic, but it definitely seemed like something he would want to learn. Though he wasn't sure what he would use it for exactly. Gardening and cooking didn't exactly require spells that allowed you to see into the past. Unless...
"Do you think it's possible to use it on other things? Like food? To see how it was made." That way, even if he didn't have the recipe for things, perhaps as long as he had the food he could use that magic to decipher how to make it.
"Temperature based? That is great for cooking!" Sprig smiled,
"So we can heat up and cool down the food to the perfect temperatures!" He could imagine it already. Lighting a fire was always a struggle, and so was making sure the food was cool before you ate it. Those problems could all be solved with magic. He wondered if it was possible for him to learn it. It would make everything so much easier!
"Thank you." the lion counted the peaches, and discerned that they probably had enough.
"Alright, let's carry this back." He gathered as much as he could carry, leaving the rest for Cadenza to bring over. It was quite hard to transport a large number of things without his sled. Upon arriving back, he realized that since there were two of them, they could do two tasks at the same time.
"Could you light a fire? If not, I can show you the way with rocks! I can crush the peaches." Sprig flicked his tail towards a stone bowl that had some firewood under it, though he wasn't sure if you used magic if wood was even needed.
He got to work on crushing the peaches they had gathered, slipping a bit, but otherwise they were of a suitable consistency.
