this is a group of cats and cat-adjacent gembound who believe in a different system, largely that there's a force outside the cave (a clan that lives in the sky full of dead cats) that sent them there for... whatever reason. we'll figure that out ic, probably.

they will discourage the use of magic and at some point host a ceremony (that is not required, but will be encouraged and the character will be held in high regards for doing so) that consists of eating a piece of the spire, dying and letting go of their element to become as not-starclan intended.

there will be an in-character lore reason why there are suddenly so many cats coming into the cave at once, which will be elaborated on by dark

The lore reason being provided for the Great Cat Flood is as follows

• Both Master Vargas & Aethril, Hand, really like cats.

You thought that was it didn't you. I mean, it could be, but! IT'S NOT

• They met up at some point, by chance, in the palace. They got to discussing cats, probably, and decided they needed more

• Through the power of a HAND, a number of cat designs were located slumbering in fresh chrysalises around the caves, and offscreen encouraged, magically, to... germinate? Whatever chrysalises do.

• Behold, CATS!
