  • Gratia goes missing and Xireidi spends a great amount of time trying to find her again. Heartbroken at the likely possibly being dead at this point he retreats into his chrysalis.

  • Emerges to a world of beauty and light, only to immediately also face the cruelty of the world as an owl and wolf lock in combat mere moments after his birth. Zeno flees the scene into the ruins below.

  • After a single day of enjoying the beauty of Orion the lights go out for what would seem like an eternity. Zeno spends most days trying to learn and improve his ability to fly. Eventually he manages to reach the roof of Orion by flying around the room and taking frequent breaks upon the wall only to discover that the stars are just crystals with no obvious reason why they have gone out. With dreams of restoring the lights dashed and a forceful realization of his own helplessness reached Zeno retreats into himself, living as much in his mind as anywhere else. In this way he is content but bereft of any form of ambition.
• Cycles 4-16
  • With the lights return outside his power Zeno continues to fade into the background, becoming more and more of a hermit. He interacts with others only rarely and with his realization of his lack of gem, lack of influence, and humble appearance sees no reason why he should interact much. His deep stoicism and contented nature make up for the terrible self-image he has crafted; seeing himself as little more than a common cave bat that somehow stumbled into sapience.

Once he gives light to the words the spike lets him go and the hallucinations stop all at once.
