Flying, Tyr found, was a particularly nice exercise. It was good to let his mind and body drift among currents flowing about the room, soaring under the high mossy ceiling of the ceiling, taking in the world around him. The feeling of his feathers curling with each flap gave him elation every time.
Of course, one couldn't fly forever. Tyr sat with his feathers fluffed out, tail splayed behind him as he lost his beak between individual strands to preen himself back to perfection. He'd done enough flying for today, enough to feed his belly and enough to get tired of his wandering mind.
A squeaky sigh came in the form of a huff. He couldn't get satisfied, no matter what he did. The avian had to close his eyes and turn his head elsewhere, forcing his brain to contemplate something else for once. Something to do, maybe, would be good, rather than just sitting around without a clue in the world. A grumble escaped his beak as he rose to his feet. There was no good in just sitting around and letting your body waste away, now was there? He gave a few swipes over the feathers growing in around his gem with a wrist before stretching out his wings.
Well, he had to do something. Clicking his beak, Tyr fanned out his wings and looked to either side of himself. He could find someone to talk to, perhaps, someone other than himself. That would be a good use of his time, he figured.

Zavenlora had taken him to Eridanus, sure, and, yeah, it was a lot more comfortable there then the wet, damp air of Pisces, but it really hadn't suited his tastes. It was almost a little too warm at times and he couldn't get used to the humid, closed in feel of the jungle. He could stand it, but he wasn't thriving.
Polaris was leaps and bounds better then his last two options. The open, cool air, the energetic atmosphere, the scattering of beautiful lights....ah, it was perfect. Or, at the very least, preferable to his last options. He'd taken, lately, to aimlessly wandering around, enjoying the scents, the airs, and the energy the cave gave to him.
He wasn't really looking for anything, but when he stopped to rest, he found himself exploring his immediate area, nose almost touching the ground, eyes darting around, perhaps for food, for water, or a nice place to take a nap. His gaze was caught by something orange and he immediately trotted over to inspect it.
A little rock, barely the size of his paw, was wedged in the crevice between two rocks. Curiously, he reached in and fished it out. Amber is what it was called, but to the young fox it was just like any other rock he'd come across. Still, he was intrigued and sat himself down, unaware of his proximity with the bird. Or perhaps he had noticed it and had simply written it off as another lesser gembound that would flutter away if he got too close.
He had no reason to approach, really. He was satisfied plopping himself down on the cool stone and observing his little trinket.
