Energy is a type of elemental magic found in Origin Cave. Energy deals in matter and its manipulation. These spells are highly unpredictable. 1)

Spells

Energy-element spells are used to change the nature of the environment in some way. Anything from ambient temperature to changing an object's liquid, solid or gas state, to bursts of energy itself creating vacuums and blast waves, fall into this element's category. Given how powerful these spells can be, they carry a high chance for injury should they critically fail and backfire. Most of this element's spells are of the Manipulation type, as they alter the environment, but can still be used to damage or hamper hostile forces. The other spells are of the Offensive type. The Energy element arguably holds some of the most damaging spells in the caves, alongside Fire.

One of the most dynamic elements is that of energy. This element deals in manipulating matter itself without a focus on any specific substance. Because there is no affinity with individual forces, users of this element are constrained in that they cannot manipulate tangible objects, only their properties. This still proves to be an effective magic as those of the energy element can warp existence, altering densities, states of matter and temperatures. They are malleable and quick to adapt, capable of practicing their magic no matter where they are. Still, Gembounds belonging to this element must exercise caution when using their spells - the altered attributes of matter can easily leak from targets to the rest of the world. 3)

Low Intensity

Heat Up - Low Intensity Manipulation. Increase the vibration of atmospheric molecules and raise the ambient air temperature by a couple degrees. Requires heavy focus from the user. Failing to control this spell can cause air temperature to fluctuate drastically.

Cool Down - Low Intensity Manipulation. Decrease the vibration of atmospheric molecules and lower the ambient air temperature by a couple degrees. Requires heavy focus from the user. Failing to control this spell can cause air temperature to fluctuate drastically.

Dispel - Low Intensity Manipulation. Matter is forced away to clear a path chosen by the user in the form of a silent shockwave. This can send anything in its path flying, including unsuspecting non-users.

Medium Intensity

State Change - Medium Intensity Manipulation. The user can shift a target's state of matter between liquid, gaseous and solid. Spell is most easily performed on objects with a freezing point closest to 0°C and boiling point closest to 100°C.

Transfer - Medium Intensity Manipulation. A large sum of energy is accumulated by the user, who then transfers it to another object, forcing it to move with the amount of energy transferred. Can be exhaustive and requires immense focus.

Vacuum - Medium Intensity Offensive. All matter surrounding the user - atmosphere, objects, etc - are violently dispelled in a circumference surrounding them. This spell can be deadly both to non-users and the user, should the user accidentally dispel parts of their own body due to lack of concentration.

Drift - Medium Intensity Manipulation. The user manipulates energy particles to create a 'doppleganger' or double, which trails after their designated target. Can be used in battle in order to fool an enemy, or out of battle in order to track / trace someone. The longer this ability is in use, the weaker the caster becomes.

High Intensity

Supernova - High Intensity Manipulation. Transform an object from any of the three states of matter to the fourth: white hot plasma. A target object is instantly vaporized into plasma that can burn or blind anybody near it.

Event Horizon - High Intensity Manipulation. The user can condense a pocket of matter into an infinitely tiny volume, creating a fleeting black hole. This draws all surrounding matter into it, and can last up to 10 seconds before the user is endangered.

Pulsar - High Intensity Offensive. From the user's body, a beam of high powered radiation is emitted. This radiation is highly toxic to any living thing in its path, killing them or creating cancerous cells, and administering radiation poisoning at the very least.
