It had been quiet for as long as he could remember. Quiet, except for the ever present thrumming of something just outside of his gemmed egg. There was also a second presence, something he could sense a whole lot better than the ever steady one next to him. Everytime it moved it seemed the ground trembled beneath their paw. It's shadow had passed over him many times, even lingered enough to make the growing gemling wonder if it was sitting on his prison or not. His body twisted and limbs tried to stretch out, eager to relinquish the feeling for being cramped. It seemed that he just could not get comfortable anymore. His nose wrinkled, baring his tiny little baby fangs

A strange sensation suddenly overwhelmed him and a squeak of surprised escaped his maw as he began trying to lash his tail about. An energy suddenly surged from him, blasting against the walls of his confinement and with a matter of seconds a shattering sound seemed to explode all around him. Another yelp of surprise escaped the child as he was suddenly sliding right out of the warmth of his gem and onto the cold ground as chrysalis juices spilled all over him and the ground.

A loud snort escaped the young beast as his pink eyes opened wide and frantically looked around. His nostril's flared as he began to breathe erratically from the new sensations that were beginning to overwhelm him. It wasn't until something wrapped around his middle did the hybrid bark out loudly. His body wiggled and his tiny wings struggled from the grasp, but soon he was turned around and his eyes met that of pure amber. He stared silently, long and hard at the massive beast that now held him up in the air as his own little pawed hands grasped desperately at his wrists in hopes that he would not fall. His ears pinned back against his head as he looked the beast over, but as sudden warmness suddenly flooded through him. He knew this creature. Slowly his long furry tail began to wag behind him and slowly a smile gripped at his features to expose his tiny little fangs once again, only this time in joy. A series of barks escaped the young creature as he now happily greeted the much larger beast. His father.

It was time. He could feel it in his bones. Not to mention the activity that seemed to be churning within the chrysali that had grown to decent sizees. So, naturally he eagerly sat before the three gems. His children. All three baring different gems. An onyx sat quietly, a Sapphire lodged in between the onyx and the third gem. The gem that seemed to be most active. The pink gem Baratheon had given him. Of course that gem would be the first to stir. A grin spread across his features as he watched all three closely. Audits twitched and pushed forward when he felt the familiar sensation of magic suddenly growing within the air.

Within a moments breath the sound of a shattering gem caused his gaze to sweep towards the pink gem. Watched as shards and chunks of the gem went flying away from the beastly pup as it suddenly slid free. There was a sudden constriction in his chest as pride began to grow within him. He took no hesitance to move closer, taking the pup in his large paws and nearly chuckled at his squirming and noises the pup was letting off.

Slowly he turned the pup around and took a good look at him. He smiled, wide and proud, as his heart seemed to beat unsteadily in his chest. This was his first child. His child...that looked more like the other father. "Man....you look more like Bara....what did I do..." He mused thoughtfully only to grin even more when the dragon wolf hybrid finally began to recognize him. The pup greeted him, barking happily, and Damian was once again amused. A dragon with wolf traits and barked. He couldn't be any more happy. He brought the dragon pup to his chest, cradling the large child against him before he turned his gaze towards the other two gems. He watched them just as eagerly. Surely they would hatch soon too. This one had been given life to last, so he was indeed shocked to see him hatch first.

His gaze lingered on the onyx gem for a longer moment. That should have been his first child. The first one to escape from their gem, but it didn't seem to have a lot of movement. Perhaps it just needed a bit more time. He pushed his thoughts away and looked to the sapphire expectantly. All the while the dragon wolf hybrid wiggled about in his arms, now growling and playfully biting at his arms that held the pup.

The babe was suddenly aware.

For so long he had been asleep, unconscious, unable to act or think or feel. He barely was, and then suddenly he was more than he had ever been in his entire fleeting existence. And as it came to be, as he came to be, he had decided that he wanted to be more than this. More than just cramped up in this tiny enclosure, legs tucked in too tight, fat and blubbery body suffocating. He wouldn't know that being more would call for so much difficulty, and maybe he had taken this simple existence for granted, too eager to stick his neck into the guillotine of wretched life. But he would be, and he would always be, more more more, bigger, better, stronger.

The child stretched and the sapphire groaned. He stretched again, pushing his flank against the chrysalis, feeling it ache and bellow with stress, the ominous sound of ice cracking beneath the surface and across the distance of a frozen lake. He bumped his head against the wall, he gritted his teeth, and he found his frustration mounting until his front arms burst forward, burst out, and he was all at once consumed in fresh air and cold. There was an audible gasp as everything he had ever known in that small existence, the comforting warmth of neonatal fluid, was wrenched away from him and replaced with startling dysphoria. He felt blinded by sudden light, he felt cold, like his nerves had gone numb, overwhelmed with everything he was given.

The chrysalis cracked. The hole that he had opened up surrounded by hairline fractures which soon grew in thickness, bracing the edge of the crystal, like jagged puzzle pieces until one by one it all collapsed. The child, so consumed by this new sensation, was suddenly swept onto the ground in a flood of sapphire shards and fluid. There he lay, before Damian and the hybrid, the slick neonate on the ground; his tail thrummed against the ground as no more than a frightened afterthought, gasping for air, reaching with his arms out for something, anything; uncertain of what he wanted, only that it wasn't this.

@Khoridai

The warmth was great, causing his once shivers to finally dissolve away as he cuddled into the warm fur that belonged to his father. His ears twitched and flopped about, listening to all he could hear around him. Pink eyes were wide and curious as they looked from here to there. When the shattering of something else caught his attention Khori shifted his gaze towards the ground, twisting around in his father's arms just to get a better look. His eyes lit up instantly when he saw the creature slid upon the ground and began to wiggle with excitement. They had to be something good! Though they were colored differently, Khori felt the sensation of familiarity.

His gaze swept up towards his father expectantly before squeaking when the massive beast moved down and took no hesitance to grasp up the other child. A broad grin spread across Khori's long pointed muzzle as he reached up a paw and plopped it against the new child's face. "brudder," He puffed up rather happily before grinning up at his father who seemed to be grinning down at the both of them. "Kh...khooori....Khoridaaaaai's bruddeerrrrr," He began, huffing and snorting as he tried to enunciate the words correctly.

Much to Damian's excitement it had not taken much longer for the next Chrysalis to begin to hatch. His long furry tail began to sway about behind him. Before too long the sapphire gem began to splinter and crack before falling apart all together and out slid his other child. The child he was unsure of what would come to be. He was stunned for a moment. Awed by how well this child looked. He was a bit bigger than the child he now held. A grin spread across his muzzle before he dipped down and easily lifted the hybrid cub into his arms. He chuckled when the dragon pup began to wiggle and eventually placed his paw upon the new cub and finally spoke.

Damian blinked and blinked again before chuckling gently and nuzzled the top of Khoridai's head after he uttereed his first words. "Yes, he is your brother my son," He spoke gently before turning his attention to the cub with affection in his usually cold and hard amber eyes. "I'm glad to see you both. Do you need a name?" He asked curiously of the weredolphin, eager to see if he would speak too. Khori seemed to have already known a name for himself so Damian didn't have to worry about finding the perfect name for him. Now it was time to figure out this little cubs name. If he did not have one, then Damian would surely think of one that would certainly suit him.

As he waited for a reply from his second cub his gaze lingered towards the obsidian gem that lay quiely at the base of the spire, surrounded now by the shattered pieces of it's siblings chryslalis. His ears pinned back for a moment, wondering if something had gone wrong with that one. He prayed not.

The babe wriggled, unsure of what he was trying to achieve, if anything at all. All he knew was that this situation was unsatisfactory. He was cold. He was on the hard, tough ground, and he felt helpless. But then... A great big furry arm had scooped him up, and he was suddenly enraptured in warmth. The child was surprised by the feeling, and then soothed, a rumbling crawling up from his throat. He pushed the flat of his head back into the lycan's supporting arm, and as the sibling placed a paw near his face, the child bleated and raised his own paws to protect his face. But they were speaking, making sounds he didn't understand, or maybe... He did?

The child fell silent and listened, first to his sibling declare him as 'brudder', and then something that sounded like a name. Then the lycan spoke, referring to them as brothers and sons. The child blinked, turning bright blue eyes on the lycan as he was prompted for a name. "Buh... Khor..." Nope. That wasn't his name. Didn't sound right. "N... No... Nnnn...." He grappled with indecision. What was a name, anyways? Just a sound that felt right? A sound that made sense? "Saahh.. Saooww... Shhhh." He frowned after sputtering the sound.

This was harder than he'd expected, but he was determined. The babe mouthed the sounds, testing the shape of their pronunciation with his lips, until he became comfortable with a pattern. "Saoo..shhiiinn. Sao.. Shin? Saosin." With that, the boy smiled and nodded, pushing his paws up at Damian's face. "Saaooosin! Khhhooorr-ee-tie! Bruuuudder." He declared proudly, unsure of what he was declaring, but mimicking the sounds his sibling had made all the same.

"Shhh...shaaa...Ssaaaoooo...shi....Saooosin!" Khori huffed and frowned as he tried to get his brother's name right. When he finally did he beamed excitedly as he turned a wild grin to his brother, once again reaching his paws out to touch his brother. "Saosiiiin! Brudder Saosin!! Yees! Hii!" He squeaked and yipped happily, his long furry tail beginning to wag back and forth. It was exciting. He not only had a Dad, but he had a brother too! He was probably the luckiest...well what ever he was he was lucky! He lookeed down at himself, studied his white fur that was marked with abyssal stripes and the pink scales that covered over his belly. Thhen he looked to his father and looked him over. He as completely obsidian! With white on his face it seemed?

Slowly his gaze turned towards Saosin. He had dark...what he guessed to be some kind of fur, with lighter colored belly and such. None of them looked entirely like the other. Not sure whether that was normal Khori frowned at his own thoughts as questioning eyes looked up and searched curious amber. Eventually he shook it off and gave a small yawn before shaking his muzzle to and fro. "mmm hun....Iii ammmmmm.... am hnnnngr....hungry," He grunted to the bigger lycan before turning his gaze to his brother. "Bbbrrrudder hnnn...huungry too?"

There was no forcing the smile upon his face to go away. No. He was far to overwhelmed with emotions that had once been oh so foreign to him. His heart beat excitedly in his chest, his tail continued to sway to and fro. HIs children. His babies. His legacy. A deep rumbling began in his chest. Not quite a growl, but neither a purr either. It was soothing in sound, content and deep with it's affectionate sound. Saosin had spoke his name just as Khoridai had and his pride only seemed to sky rocket even more. Audit's twitched when Khori began to huff and snort out more words, claiming to be hungry, and Damian chuckled lowly. He should have expected that. Of course, now he felt terrible that he did not have a fresh meal waiting for them the moment the fell free of their prisons.

"Alright my sons. I will take you both to get some food," He didn't know of Sao would be hungry too, but he had a feeling that his weredolphin sun would be. That also left the question...what exactly did Saosin eat? Would he eat the deer he and Khori would be able to eat? Or would his diet consist of nothing but fish? Damian supposed he was soon to find out. For now, he would settle with something he knew both of them would probably like to eat. Fish.

So he turned on heel and made his way towards the Crystal river and when he got there, he knelt down and settled his boy down against the ground just before the rushing water. "Alright you two...watch closely. You won't have to do this for a long while yet, but it will be good to know still," He spoke glancing down at the two as he prowled closer towards the edge of the water. He would wait for the two to get closer to watch and then he would attempt catching them some fish.

The child reached his paws forward and papped at his father's face, but his attention very quickly flitted back to Khoridai as he struggled to pronounce Saosin's name. He watched silently and delivered a bright smile as his brother finally succeeded, and Saosin returned the yips, although his joyous noise of celebration crackled with a cetacean's clicks. His voice was cut with sharp clicks and trills that he couldn't help - it would grow to be a subtle indication of his joy, those dolphin noises, as he chattered happily at his brother. "Bruuudder! My bruuudder!" He answered, pawing at the dragonwolf.

After a moment he retreated his paws to his chest again, happy simply to be there with his father and brother, until his brother yawned - Saosin mimicked him - and announced he was... Hungry? What was that? Whatever it was, Saosin was too! "Yaaaasss!! Hungry?!" Saosin clicked his agreement and turned his expectant blue eyes to Damian. Their father rumbled about finding them some food, and suddenly they were off. Saosin's eyes widened and he clutched his father's arm tight with his own paws, craning his neck forward to see where they were going. The ground passed quickly beneath them, and soon the sound of water met his ears.

Oh what a sweet sound, that quiet bubbling! Saosin struggled against his father's grip, desperate to investigate. He and his brother were deposited on the ground and Saosin gracelessly dragged his body towards the water, staring wide-eyed over the edge into the crystal currents. "Whaaa...." He gasped, staring, unable to look away. He forgot about the prospect of hunger. He just wanted to know more about this... this water!

@Khoridai

Excitement washed through Khori as they were quickly carried away from the big blue thing. They were both hungry it seemed and Khori could not wait to see what their father planned on catching for them! As they were brought to a body of water, Khori's eyes went wide with interest. Though his excitement of the river was a little less than how his brother was looking at the rushing liquid. They were sat down and almost instantly his brother dragged himself closer towards the water. Tilting his head to the side with curiosity Khori waddled over towards his brother and peered down at the river.

With one small glance at to his brother Khori lowered himself to his belly and reached his front right paw out. His toes met the water and he nearly squealed from the cold as he yanked his paw away. "Aah, tha's co...cooold," He huffed and snorted before grinning with a child's excitement as he reached down once again and pawed at the water. Bravely dipping it as far as he could reach while his wings seemed to spread out from his sides as if to keep him balanced. "Brudder! Brudder you touch too! Touch touch!" He giggled whipping his angular head around to look at his brother expectantly.
