Tunnel D is a strange mix of hot and cold, with snow filtering in from Ursa and heat sweeping in from Leo. While its rocky walls are topped with snow, cracks in the stone slowly spill traces of lava, a red-orange cutting through the stark white. This creates a lot of steam, and the tunnel is almost always thick with it, humid and hot. It is only refreshing the closer one gets to Ursa, where the fresh chill rolls in to counter the heat. |
LOCATIONS
Leo Entrance
Geysers add to the steam of the tunnel here. This entrance opens to the soft sands of the bay. |
Ursa Entrance
Cold chills are a welcome relief; this entrance is wide and rocky, powdered with fresh snowfalls. |
