(stone given to me by Cicada)
Parent: Captain
Giving: Stone
Health: Quite dead
Element: Corrupted
Stone: Rhodochrosite
Had any previous litters: None

Skrungler's jet stone comes from Audland's box of Lacerta stones and was given to the Chorus in this thread.

Child Name: TBD
Gender: TBD
Species: Honey Fungus x Buffalo
Appearance: It seems hybridization got a little confused when it was making this creature. Standing slightly shorter then its stone-giver, many aspects have been replaced and jumbled by its fungal life-giver, most notably its head, which has been replaced by four gigantic mushrooms, the largest of which houses its brain. While it retains four legs as a typical water buffalo does, a number of horribly formed auxiliary legs branch out from them at seemingly random points. These auxillary legs, while looking like their real ones, are devoid of blood and bone and will grow quickly and wither, falling right off within a few cycles. They may occasionally cause issues with movement.

The tail of this creature looks a bit like black hair, but is actually a tangled mass of mycelia. The creature is able to move them from the base as a regular tail, but the individual strands cannot be finely controlled. It can use this tail to gather nutrients from soil and plant-matter, but its a slow process and feeding may take hours. It is otherwise completely devoid of any fur or hair and is weirdly fleshy to the touch, like the cap of a mushroom. Proper fruiting bodies of honey fungus grow from its skin. It has no eyes or ears, but its caps are sensitive to vibrations and changes in air pressure that will help it navigate the world.

In the center of its chest is its gemstone, parting the gap between two of the mushroom head-growths, looking suspiciously like a heart peering out from the skin.

Parent: Skrungler (Lesser Gembound)
Giving: Stone x1
Health: dead lmao
Stone: Jet
Had any previous litters: i wouldn’t know
Randomize Litter?: norp (nope). although, as the skrungler was already dead prior to being seen by any character, i suppose it is unknown whether that skrungler was blue or brown variety, so GMs could probably roll for that?

Link to thread where Titivilus (the train) gets the box of stones: https://origin.boreal-nights.space/showthread.php?tid=12377&pid=112533#pid112533

Titivilus gave the stones to Audland offscreen, powerplayed as they are both my character. The act is mentioned here: https://origin.boreal-nights.space/showthread.php?tid=12527&pid=112536#pid112536

The stone gifted to the Chorus was gifted in the thread linked in the Chorus’s post.

Child Name: Einherjar
Gender: …many?
Species: Skrungus (skrungler x honey fungus)
Appearance: Basically a bunch of tiny skunglers connected to the floor and each other by honey fungus style root system. Their brain is the root system, and every member is a contributing part of the brain. The skrungler fungal bodies can do all the things skrunglers can do, including eat meat and be venomous and bioluminescent, but they’re really tiny and rooted to the ground, so their mobility is limited by the length of the fungal thread below the ground. I may also mutate the child(ren?) prior to hatching so that each fungal body is somewhat centaurish but in a creeper minecraft sort of way lmao. I also think it’s fair for there to be less fungal bodies than what the Chorus produces, because it takes more energy to produce a skrungal body. Mini skrunglers may also have honey mushroom hats, frills, colors, or stump feet at random. I haven’t decided yet.
Element: Arcane
Stone: Jet

This litter was Successful! It will emerge on October 1st, 2026.

The Chorus and Vjira will not be able to conceive again until January 1st, 2027.

The Honey Fungus x Buffalo design should be tagged for GM approval in this thread before the character application is submitted. Design is approved!

The Oilstone hybrid is a medium sized creature, not counting the tail it's about 8 feet long. It is...rather odd, taking the general shape of Vjira's body and head, with the same fur-mane as well. It also sports a pair of wings, although their makeup is more traditionally draconic, with the appearance of a mushroom cap - and the feeling of a mushroom cap as well. They damage easily, but are strong enough for sustained flight.

It may be quite obvious, but flight is its only method of travel. For instead of feet, this creature will continuously grow root-like growths in place of legs that can burrow into the earth to absorb nutrients. These mycelial chords do not have any muscles or nerves, and so cannot be separately controlled as typical arms and legs can, but the creature can control the direction of their growth. They are easy to break off as well, and causes no pain.

Its flesh is rather squishy and smooth, similar to a mushroom cap, and besides the mane around its neck, it has no fur. Its tail is much tougher and more firm then the rest of its body.
