QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Leon had been watching tentatively the whole time. His own curiosity had begged him to get involved, but with Cadence on his back, he knew he couldn't risk losing his footing in the water surges and her falling off. The last thing he wanted was for her to get injured because of his own carelessness. The bear scratched at his maw, and once the door had managed to be jammed open, he grinned and clapped his paws together. "Nice one!" He encouraged, mostly to Arkrael, though he had to admit that the elephant did a pretty good job keeping it open too. Everybody else was pretty much useless. "Hmm... shall we venture inside?" Leon tilted his head slightly, shifting his focus to Cadence.
Obviously, the answer would be yes. He strode forward, plunging into the darkness behind the rest of them.
Ghanyarah, too, had been watching the affairs curiously. When Barnett had swept off and landed on the face of the tiger, the komodo turned and watched with uncertainty; Diot had later gone to help the little numbat, and Ghanyarah kept his place. There wasn't much else he could do anyways. His mind was too slow to figure out how to open the door, and it seemed that a few of the Gembounds up ahead had it figured out... he was watching Arkrael carefully now, and felt a surge of pleasure when it was she using her magic to jar the door open. And the elephant too, maybe. Damn, that was a big animal. He narrowed his eyes and flicked his tongue, but as long as he stayed out of her way...
Before long, the door grinded open and Ghanyarah straightened up. "Come, come!" He beckoned back to Diot and Barnett and waited patiently for them to resume their positions on his back. He didn't know what they were going to find on the other side of that door, but at least on his back they might be safe. Ghanyarah shifted impatiently and then pushed forward, deaf to the sound of the chattering darkness above.
The avian watched as the door lowered to release one last surge of water before the shadowy beast lumbered into the dark abyss. A new tunnel? A new room? The Bone King decided that he must investigate, and bring the news back to the Bonebound so that they could know what was there. Spotting the cerberos nearby, Azazel chirped, "c'mon Kerberos!" He swooped close to the great canine's head then glided into the dark tunnel... off to find new adventures.

Pisces was not the same for Quintus at the moment, he did not want to be anywhere near the place but what choice did he have? He had his little siblings to look after and there was also his companion Bartos who happened to be injured due to some psychopath herbivore that was roaming the caves kidnapping others children. Despite knowing his responsibilities with his father and mother having departed, the lion had left the task of babysitting his siblings to Bartos, he just could not stay in the waterfall room any longer without thinking of his mentors demise.
The Gembound would hurry up and get as far away as he could before doubts started setting themselves up inside his head, his reliable senses managing to lead him to the location of his father and sister who had went adventuring; I need to take my mind off things. In no time, the frame of Cadence on top of Leon would catch his attention as well as the other Gembounds and the large amounts of water.
Whilst scanning the individuals around him, he would take note of two quite unusual things, the gargantuan open door and the gruesome creature dubbed Totum. The creature looked so familiar yet sinister, it would not take long for the lion to remember what the shadow creature reminded him of causing the feline to release a slight growl from his lips.
Then again everything around him screamed adventure and Quintus could not help but feel like getting involved after all he might just discover something that could be beneficial to his and Bartos's research. The feeling of excitement filled him until hearing the voice of the familiar vulture say a name that he loathed, Kerberos!?, instantly his blue eyes would dance around his surroundings before noticing the frame of the three headed dog.
All he could think at the moment was why his father was not ripping the bastard apart and why the leader of the Bonebound had not yet handed the murderer to Maji Walezi to answer for his crimes. After some time standing there stunned, the lion would advance forwards a little after the other Gembounds but as he advanced he could not help but wonder why he was not feeling the same hatred that he had for the three headed dog back then.

The canine stood quietly, waiting for the next surge. His mind was entirely on the idea of protecting those around him from the crash of water to follow... But there was none. The dog blinked as everyone figured out the puzzle, and his tail wagged gently.
With Aza'zel's call, the massive hell hound strode forward quietly through the door, summoning heat to his skin. Light. The humidity was choking, and despite his best efforts, it was all he could do to keep walking. Hopefully the shadows wouldn't be unending.
Kerberos wasn't sure he could handle losing Aza'zel like he had lost his mother.

So much had happened, Jack found himself being tossed around by the waves, forced to the back of the group to the point that he could no longer see them. But he always pushed himself back towards them, he wouldn't give up.
ooc; exit Jack, won't be claiming for the sake of fairness :)

Rather than wait for a few words from his father Diot ran over to the bear and tiger. Assuming the numbat was indeed frozen from fear, or possibly the chilling water that still clung to his coat. Diot smiled at the two young carnivores, thanking them with a wave of his hand and some kind words as he helped in pulling Booker from the tiger's face. No harm no foul at least! With his father in tow he climbed back aboard S.S.WaterLizard! Making sure not to keep the slightly impatient and possibly excited Ghanyarah waiting! They all wanted to explore this new portion of the cave! Diot only hoped it would be a bit calmer than the previous events!
Blinking a few times Sabor focused on the numat at 'large', staring at them waiting for 'something' to happen. They were very close and so far this adventure was ending up more as a comedy hour than anything else. Before Sabor could speak up towards the soaked numat and small gembound had scurried over. Raising their arms towards what they explained was their father. Huh, interesting...wonder how that worked...Bending down Sabor gladly allowed the small tamarin to pull the one known as Booker free. Scrunching up his face he was in a slight euphoric state, very much welcoming the sensation of being 'free'. And trying not to mind that sudden assault of scent the numbat had left behind. Shortly after Diot thanked them and Sabor stood tall and proud, or at least as tall as he could at this age.
Glancing over at his bear companion he tilted his head towards her. Barely able to ask if she was comfortable with moving forward as she was already prepared for the tiger to lead. With a smile he led them off into the unknown, hopeful that there were wonders in store for the both of them!
The frozen numbat had been the main focus of her attention, worry coating her posture before another small gembound had approached, arms outstretched with a quick introduction that they were called Diot, and that the numbat currently on Sabors' face was in fact their father, the sentiment of course had left only a confused cub for a moment before she turned her attention back to her feline companion.
Sabors' expression was nothing short of euphoric, seeming to enjoy his senses being freed of the confusing little gembound. Her ears flicked forward slightly as Sabor had looked over at her, barely able to start his question of asking if she was comfortable with him once again taking the lead, before she had moved to shuffle under Sabor's chest. Her little tail already wiggling excitedly as she sped her odd shuffle-scoot pace to keep up with the golden tiger.
After all, they'd already gone this far! Might as well see what else was in store for them!
