Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

It was slow going, reaching out its senses towards the creatures on the land, in the world above the waters. Soon it had two shapes among the airborn bacteria, two clusters that were much smaller than it had been expecting. It had known many creatures of the world above in brief passing, and none had been this small.
The Orarian had little empathy, but it knew smallness. Weakness. It even once knew youth, and that it would be easy to snuff out the lights of these creatures and feed them to the depths bellow. For as aggressive as the monster was, it was not especially cruel.
The beings of the other world spoke of flying to one another, in hushed tones that almost missed the Orarian's hearing. The beast shifted through the ocean, a sense of curiosity driving the creature, if only for a moment.

Its mind made up, the Orarian pushed towards the surface. Its body pressed closer to the edge of the waves than it had ever been, its smooth, starlit top feeling the cold of the room's air on its flesh fully. Its gem, a giant, smooth eye of specks and lights, glistened as it tried to speak completely to the tiny shapes it could feel.
And with a distorted, horrifying roar, the creature screamed-- its voice had been so much softer under the waves. There was a sharp, distinct pain from trying to reach the skies above to convey its words, and so it kept the message brief.
Static rang clear until the sea creature dove back into the depths, diving deep until the pain left its form and the cold was washed away by the warm, hot vents bellow. It continued to watch the birds, as always, unaware that the noise had likely been painful for the creatures of the other world as well.

Hugin
Liars see their own kind everywhere.
Hugin did not know moral - thus he knew neither good nor bad && definitely no horror. Otherwise, the pained screams of the beast might have scared him off.
Yet even though he was not scared of Orarian, he recognized their pained scream.
The loudness of the creature's voice && the empty silence it left behind after slinking back into the water almost made Hugin forget about his sibling, who had showed first traces of flight. Flying, yes, their fate.
Munin had been able to take off, although he didn't stay in the air for very long. With some luck, if Hugin could match his sibling's skill, they could make it to the other side.
Roll Attempt: Other - Fly
Hugin flapped his wings, natural strength coming to him && aiding his first try at flight. His display wasn't any better or worse than that of Munin, his landing just as rough && unskilled. "I think we can make it." The raven said, confidence in himself && Munin oozing off of him in waves.
The creature would let them leave && Hugin was not about to squander that chance. They would just have to make it, no other way around the issue. "Go first, Munin. I shall have your back." The raven nodded as if to himself, his eyes darting around the water surrounding their island to catch a glimpse of the beast.

Munin
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
Munin wanted to watch his sibling attempt to fly for the first time but he was distracted by the sound of the Orarian surfacing onto land. His head turned, staring wide-eyed at the beast as it howled in pain. "Are you hurt?" he asked over the sound of the beast roaring.
He wasn't particularly afraid by the sheer size and volume of the Oararian, nor was he particularly afraid of it in general - but he was startled by the sudden noises. There was vague concern for the slimy beast too - though it did seem vaguely threatening.
He turned towards Hugin once more. "Are you sure?" he asked. He was doubtful that he had the energy to fly across the water but he wasn't so sure about Hugin.
He would go first, and the raven hobbled across the land, spreading his wings. He flapped in an attempt to kick off the ground but his talons barely lifted off the ground. A frustrated whistling sigh escaped his beak as he glanced back at his other half, waiting for him to take off. It might give him some form of inspriation.
Not wanting to risk the pain and suffering, the creature simply watched as the birds attempted to fly. One of them had asked if it was okay, and it did not answer though it believed it was fine. If it was not, perhaps it would have tried to say so.
Mostly, however, the Orarian wasn't sure why the creatures wanted to know if it was fairing well. They were of the other world, what care did they have for the creature bellow? Although it could not see, it focused on the bacteria it could sense, watching their progress.
If... If perhaps they fell into the water, the great beast could keep them from dying to the crashing waves. They did not belong to the ocean, and as such, the waters could be dangerous to them more than because of the creatures dwelling in them.
