QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

On dainty paws, Mau had made her way through the tunnels and caves unnoticed after her extraordinary birth. Fisher, Black and another gembound, whose name she never bothered to learn, had saved her from drowning, but she had her suspicions that they might have been behind the flood in the first place. Since that day, she'd strayed as far from water as she could without dehydrating herself. This of course took her away from the Eastern parts of the cave, and towards the Western portion. There, she would soon come across some less than lively areas, before entering the room of the dead. Her tiny jaw would draw open to push out the stench of decay, but soon it clung to her fur and she had no choice but to accept it. A few paw steps into this place, and she already felt uneasy... but intrigued. Who lived here? She'd find out with a soft, but echoing whisper- aiming her voice at the far wall to let it carry through the whole cave...
...her gem and eyes shone a soft, pastel blue for a moment, and then her feline voice would carry around the back of the cave before returning to her ears as a hushed tone. The light would fade, and the kitten would stumble backwards, sitting promptly to steady herself. She hadn't been expecting the dizzy sensation she was left with upon using magic again- her first attempt had been roughly the same, though, if she could remember it correctly. Still, the voice carried and so the cat settled in to wait for a response. She wouldn't wander too deep into this particular cave on her own- god knows what sort of monster was behind all this death.

Mau attempts to Cast Spell — Whisper( Calling out to say hello! )

{ RATED M FOR SWEARING }
He still was broken, a fragment of the king he once fit the mantle of. He was no kind of king. But how could the ave fix himself and become who he used to be? That was going to be difficult now, with how far he had slipped. Maybe he'd just accept it, but he just had to try.
Azazel had been lost in thought, but the soft whisper of someone else echoed on the walls. It was a soft-spoken sound, and it struck the ave as a summons. The Bone Bird took to the air from his throne, flapping his wings in powerful strokes. Warm thermals flowed beneath his wings, drawing the rufous bird closer to the source of the whisper. Keeping keen eyes on the bones down below, the bird used his senses the best that he could. Of course his sense of smell would be most useful right now, but no matter.
A pale speck of fur would appear in his sight line, hiding amongst the bone fortresses. Descending, the ave would see the speck enlarge into some small feline... one much smaller than what he knew. He was used to some like Lions, Tigers, and Leopards. But here it was, a small cat, white as the ice in Tunnel M. Her most distinctive feature was the aquamarine eyes and gem of the tempest. It was as if she was like Makyna. Perhaps a sister?
Landing with an audible sound, the bird chirped, "Hello." He wanted to try something... When he'd met Makyna, the girl had been able to hindsight him. Maybe he could do the same. Now, how had she done it? He leaned down, touching the girl lighting atop the head with his beak.
For his first attempt, it had gone beautifully. Azazel froze in place, feathers ruffling. Images would flash in his mind, of the girl's humble beginnings. Well, perhaps not so humble. It was more of a flood that had awakened the child. There was a brown smudge, with bright eyes. Fisher?! The vision ended, but with one single whisper at the end. Mau... Was that her name?
A great, somewhat regal looking bird swooped in from above. His feathers were ragged, his appearance disheveled as if he'd been in some fight or rough place prior. The cat stepped back at it landed before her, blue eyes alit in the darkness of the cave- a soft, yellow glow from above lighting them almost green. The bird chirped a hello, to which she replied, "Hello." without missing a beat.
Then, the bird did something awful. That beak came down and ever so gently, touched Mau's forehead. The cat, so protective of her boundaries, paused in shock, then responded with an alarmed yowl when she saw the glow of magic about him. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" It was instinctive. She swiped with claws extended, fur on end, and backing away in the same motion...
...Tiny pin claws managed to catch feathers and skin and she raked the bird across the face as she jumped back and away, puffed up and taking on an arched pose, tail flagging up high in the air. She spat a hiss his way, bounced twice on her toes, then backed herself into the tunnel entrance as if to prepare to flee from his response. Surely he'd be angry now, and such a big bird could do some damage, even as broken apart as he looked.
ROLL 13
Mau attempts Physical Combat ( SMACK DAT BIRB IN THE FACE )
Okay, maybe that hadn't gone so swimmingly. The girl-- Mau --had replied in a simple hello without a single beat missed, but as soon as his beak even so much as brushed her, the cat bristled with fury. With a yowl of alarm, the girl shrieked. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" Without time to react, Azazel felt a paw hit the side of his face with unnatural force. WHAM!
His head fell to the side, and he stared blankly at the floor for just a moment. What... what was that? Carmine eyes blinked once, twice. Meekly raising a wing to rub where Mau hit him, he raised a brow and just stared at the girl. "Did you just... slap me?" There was no venom in his voice, no disdain. It was a simple question, almost sounding a little hurt. There was now a little set of small claw marks on his cheek, bleeding very lightly into his buff-white mask. "I promise I won't touch you again, goodness." Yeah, he definitely didn't want to test the boundaries of this cat's temper. Tapping her gently had been enough to get a bitch slap to the face, apparently.
