Poor Vincenzo. Vinnie the Voice. Loud, obnoxious, foul-mouthed, but the warmest heart you ever knew. Took pity on all the kids he ran across; did his best to try and help 'em out, ya know? But ehh... that didn't go so well, in the end. After failing to convince Mayngo, his pretty much adopted Fossa kid, not to join the potentially-fatal Trial of Hydra, he followed him--he knew what'd happen, really, but he couldn't let Mayngo go alone. Almost immediately poor Vinnie got pounced by a vulture, which took first his eye, then his heart. That said, he got his revenge, kinda, before he died--there's now one vulture soaring Hydra that's missing an eye of its own.

He just... hopes Mayngo makes it.

IT'S TIME TO BEGIN ISN'T IT

Andraste always believed there was a greater being possessing the caves; but she believed they would be good and bright. She spent countless hours laying in the cool air of Tunnel M, staring into Orion and dreaming about what wonders its sparkling ceiling held. She loved the dancing lights her element could create, and loved sharing this with everyone, especially her sister Vahi. However, she was shy, and would often leave baubled items as gifts while others were away. Most of her time was spent relaxing in the cold respite of Tunnel M.

When she started to hear voices, she did as they commanded, but began to question their motives when they had her doing more and more sinister acts. Eventually, she was imbued with a heaviness she did not know and could not see, but she felt it sink into her core and drown her. She lost who she had ever been and became a shadow of her former self.

Dark was hatched shuffling through Origin's tunnels. With eyes replaced by gemstones, the owl had to rely wholly upon sharp hearing--and on the esoteric magic of his mind--to navigate the world around him. A seer, of sorts--if in a confused, distracted way--the owl saw past and future more than he "saw" the present. Gentle, simple, and shy, he kept to himself and spoke only infrequently, with some trouble clearly explaining himself and what he could see. He considered the bird Bevy to be his mother--she was kind, and a medic to others, and he followed her with faithful love.

During the events of the Fiery Pit, he tried several times to distract the dragon Raheerah by touching his mind to its own, for some little aid during the fight.

Dark was killed when struck by Kerberos' Pulsar attack on Bevy, after Bevy herself had gone quite mad. Badly-injured, terrified and still quite blind, Dark made his way alone into the darkest recesses of the caves--where the equally-mad deer Belladonna, and her white raven ally Dianysma, found him. For a time they tormented him--with shadows, mind-lies and disease--before shattering his foot and leaving him there to die. It was a very sad end to a very innocent, gentle life.
