Thankfully, the egg hatched before it could be eaten. The cracking might wake October up, just in time to see a too-large bird (a little smaller than a crow) somehow squeeze from the little egg. Sleek, dry-feathered and fully grown, the bird spreads its wings and breaks into soft, trilling song.
If October has no familiar, and if it wished it, the
Lovebird (such as it was) could become its new familiar, regardless of knowledge of the Familiar Forge spell. If not, it could easily be a little friend, to follow it around. Or... a meal, if it was so inclined.
Either way, it might have a variety of pink, red, white or purple colors and wholly different features from others currently hatching throughout the cave: trailing tailfeathers, a lovely crest, or differently shaped beaks and legs; every Lovebird was unique.
Now, the question remained, as the bird nestled in close: what was October going to
do with it..?
October has hatched a
'Lovebird.' This bird can, if desired and if October does not already possess a familiar, become their familiar regardless of (lack of) knowledge of the Familiar Forge spell. Otherwise, it can become a friend, or a meal, or anything else October might wish. Its features may vary from others of its kind, and if October's player wishes, the image can be clicked for a version that can be (vaguely) mixed and matched for a representation that they'd like.
