The bull watched as Destiny scrambled, rushing to get ahead of him. She didn't get too far before stopping, though looking back at him already wore out. He smiled at her, then took two steps, closing the gap between them. He reached for her, scooping her up in his trunk and gently cradling her. He took his steps toward the water, his strides nearly as long as the distance she had managed to put between them, initially.

Step by step, he went into the water, instinct kicking in and singing to him that perhaps this was natural. As he got just above chest deep, her reached back put her on his back, waited for her to accommodate, then continued forward. At first, all he did was sink, which gave him a little shock. However, his mass floated rather easily, his head barely above water as his trunk was raised to act as a snorkel.

Atsila instantly fell in love with swimming, the ease of it surprising to him, but a thought he did not dwell on. He dipped himself completely under, eyes open. He looked around for Destiny, smiling wide as his nose kept the airflow steady. His legs slowly paddled him along, his eyes seeing a world entirely different from the one of land. Fish, critters, and odd plants lived down here. It was not as easy to see, but gods it was quite amazing.

Destiny's eyes widened as the enormous creature closed the gap between them with ease but despite that, she grinned back happily. Destiny wasn't the competitive type, and she found it incredible that something could just be that fast, that big, that... nice! the little platypus couldn't forget that he'd called her pretty before. Se didn't understand quite what made it so special but she felt like she sat on top of the universe after that. She always did.

Destiny was distracted for a moment and the next thing she knew she felt the elephant's trunk around her, strong and warm and comforting. and then she was in the air, so high up! momentarily shocked, she pawed at the empty air for a moment before clinging to the other's trunk, looking around dazedly as the ground moved beneath them, the world seeming to rock as they covered a distance which Destiny had cleared in minutes, in seconds. "W-woah, you're so fast, too!" she crooned shakily, struggling to find much else to say. She then looked around. "I can see forever! Everything!" she chirped excitedly.

And then she heard the water swirling around his legs, and the little one looked down to see the river there, sparkling and clear and beckoning. And then she was moving- reaching around and then, she was riding on his back, so high above the water like she was flying. Amazement was painted over every inch of her, her stance and her face, her bright, opalescent eyes. The young one was getting deeper in the water, and soon it only made sense for Destiny to slip from her perch and swim alongside. With a few frantic wiggles of her flippers she'd somewhat caught up, and she paddled alongside that enormous face to make sure that everything was okay.

As Destiny swam to his face, he blew bubbles from his mouth. He was slow moving, like a whale to a dolphin. He swam toward a structure under the water that rose up, placing his feet on the tip to catch himself. Slowly, with a lot of focus on balance, he rose up on his hind legs and brought his head above the water, smiling widely as the air with wetness gave his face a chilled feeling. He wished he had known how wonderful water was to swim in. Bathing in it was nice, just as rolling in the mud was quite nice. But swimming with his new friend? Amazing.

Seeing Atsila blowing bubbles from his mouth made Destiny feel happy inside, and in return she blew tiny bubbles from the nostrils in the top of her bill. The currents were getting stronger as they swam further out, but so long as her new friend was alright, Destiny didn't care. She had few problems swimming against currents, as if it was what her small body was made for.

Atsila rose up, and Destiny swam up quickly, accompanying him to the surface and popping up just next to his face. "You're a really good swimmer!" she squeaked, happy and relieved that she hadn't had to go on another rescue mission. "And it's nice having someone to swim with for once." She let out a happy little warble, sculling with her webbed flippers to keep her in place. "So, thank you!"
