Something still didn't sit right with the weasel, and neither Pride nor the wolf seemed convinced of its safety either. But there was still a part of the weasel that was beside themselves with curiosity. What could it mean, and why? And worse still, would Pride and Kera respect them less if they said no? Woukd they look scared, and weak?
Pride was being very quiet; although his voice was even Envy couldn't help but feel that he was waiting for their judgement. If they were to say yes, what would happen? Would it be something big? What if Envy's ultimate decision here ended up dooming them? No matter what happened, everything here came down to their decision.
Envy fidgeted.
Pride was usually all about safety; but he liked to know things too. If something went wrong from this, then it would all come down to them. Equally, if they said no, then it might look like they were afraid. They were stuck in a loop. Finally, after a long and awful pause, they shook their head. "We need to find out more. the Elders never act without reason, and... this seems horribly fishy to me," the weasel said finally, heart hammering.
They'd said it, and immediately regretted it. But even the fact that the words were out loud lifted a weight from their chest. No turning back now, and there was still an opportunity if they were to go back to the elder and demand more information.
Speech. Thought.
