"Shit..." Ozias cursed as he stopped dead in his tracks. Caring little if Nova was directly behind him or not, he backed up to try and find the scent again. He didn't need to lose it now - what if Nova found it before he did? What if finding this thing would make something really awesome happen? He couldn't just let that be taken away from him! Ozzy desperately sniffed around, hoping he could pick up on the scent again and follow it to where ever it was before Nova did, if she even tried.

The dog was right behind the boy, pausing when he seem to loose the trail . . . darn, and then he found it once more! Maybe I should give it another try. But her nose seemed to be clogged up, no scent was going in and she was at a loss. Maybe it was the tunnel dirt? "Do you think it's somewhere around here?" The scent seems to be the strongest on the western edge of the forum, as though it is coming from among the seats.

"I do," he muttered when he caught on to the scent again. It sure was taking a while to find it, but at least he didn't lose the trail for long. Now, he'd just have to move slower so that he had a better chance of keeping it. He just only hoped it worked, cause with Nova trying he got worried. Thankfully she didn't pick up on it like he did, but he didn't know how long it would be before she did. What if she ran off ahead? Ozzy nearly shoved his nose into the ground, desperate to follow this trail without losing it.

No no no! He couldn't lose it again! Ozzy growled and stopped again, sniffing around until he could find it again. He was doing so good and now look at what was happening! He'd find the trail and then lose it again! He couldn't keep doing this or he'd never be the one to find it! Ozzy grumbled to himself as he looked for it again, obviously frustrated as his patience was wearing thin.

Eyes were wide as she began to look around, it had got to be around here right? After all, Ozias was on the trail even after she had lost it! Nova began to scan the area they were in, glancing up and about to see if something stood out to her. --------- "Speech" Thoughts OOC: @Ozias and short xD

Looking closely enough, the pair of canines may notice that there is a strange stone sitting beneath one of the stone seats. It looks relatively benign, however there is a thin string crossing in front of the stone. It will require a roll of Barely Successful or higher not to trip the wire if the canines attempt to grab the stone.

Good, he found it again. Though it wasn't long after that he saw something in the direction the scent was taking him. Was that it? Was that what they had been looking for? Ozzy followed his nose to the piece, making sure the scent lead to it, but didn't see the wire he could easily trip since the canine had redirected his sight from the ground to the piece that laid under one of the stone seats. Hopefully the boy would miss the wire and be able to snatch up the stone chunk, because certainly a trip wire couldn't be good.

As soon as enough pressure is applied to the trip wire, the ground beneath their paws begins to shake. The massive, broad steps that the seats are located on, slowly rising upward from the center, shifted and tilted. The seats themselves began to slide forward, as if they had already been loosened in preparation of the trap being set. A cascade of heavy rock and rubble begins to slide down towards Ozias and Nova, and the rock slide quickly consumes the statue piece.

Ozias and Nova will have to roll an Other attempt Barely Successful or higher in order to avoid being buried by rubble.
