North-West Quadrant — Leo

Leo is an enormous space, featuring nearly two-full sized caves partnered as one. On the upper level is a bay-like area with warm waters, beaches, and rocky structures dotted throughout the bay. Geysers vent heat periodically from the forge below. Against the back wall is a large volcano with a cave opening up to a workshop and tunnels throughout that lead to the Underforge. On the lower level is the forge, aglow with spitting fire and magma, with lava rivers and streams carved through the walls and floors. Large rock-like benches and tables over the lava suggest this was once a busy area for crafting.
LOCATIONS

The Bay
This bay features sandy beaches and warm waters with tall rocky structures.
The Volcano
A mimic of a true volcano, this rocky mountain is the main heat vent for the forge.
The Workshop
Inside the cave of the volcano is an inviting workshop; The Blacksmith lives here.
Underforge
The entire under area of Leo is a sprawling, giant forge.

Yellow had been getting very jealous of late.

How come YOU guys get to garden all over Eridanus and have fun and get cool prizes? How come YOU guys get to choose who to leave out on pain of death?? How come YOU guys get a special tailor who makes people fancy clothes??? Well [redacted] you (Gembound under 18 years old should not swear), the HIVE could do that TOO!!!!!

Yeah!!!!!!

It helped (didn't help) that they'd had a lot of spare time on their hands lately. A lot of time to think... to brainstorm, if you will. A droning (ha) tone filled the air now as they sat on the beach... the sandy beach...... you know what? Their family needed to get out here and touch grass sand NOW sometime very soon!!! It would be the perfect group bonding activity. Yellow loved group bonding. Yellow was so tired of sitting around and watching other people make friends and have fun. Okay so they weren't supposed to get into any fights recently but that didn't mean they couldn't have FUN!!!

We should have a beach day, they suggested suddenly, directly to Mother. With swimming and games and drinks and snacks! And we should have a competition with prizes just like that Master did in Eridanus but BETTER! And we'll be the ones to say NO VALKHOUNDS ALLOWED this time and it'll be time for THEM to get left out. And we'll make lots of friends!

This was a great idea. Wasn't this a great idea??

Oh! And we should have fancy colorful clothes! We can call them swimsuits. Rolls right off the tongue.

MOTHER
Just In Time For Summer

Mother was a bit blindsided by the suddenness of this, it had to be said. And it was pretty clear that, cooped up as they were, her Hive had... a bit too much time on their hands, maybe. Time to think and dwell on things and explode with weird ideas like 'swimsuits.'

But public relations had been mentioned, and if the Hive members desired this, so long as it did not detract overmuch from their resources, she did not mind testing it as a concept.

She consulted the hive network, puzzling over some of these details.

In particular, she requested the following:

Were any of them familiar with swimming as a recreational activity? Did one need to... do anything, to prepare?

What sort of "games" were played during a "beach day?" Did that require preparation of any sort, or supplies?

Snacks were a given; Dontas were plentiful, but drinks? Were there specific drinks traditional to beach consumption?

What were typical "prizes" for a "beach day" and--what competition was expected?

It was all very new to her, but perhaps the Hive members knew, from others in the cave, more about all this... stuff.

And if they had answers, well, she could (she supposed?) attempt to provide.
