Tuck nodded excitedly when Albeon told him he could go ahead and try his other spell. He closed his eyes and concentrated, trying to think of what plant to grow. Then he remembered the Dormire flowers he had grown when he’d met the red wolf Cuanakrys. No, no, he couldn’t grow those again. He’d freaked out so much the first time he’d used his Magic that he didn’t like to even think about those stupid white flowers! But maybe a red one? Yeah, just a small red flower would be good. He concentrated on that thought, and felt the familiar tingling itch, this time coming from his right back paw.

When he opened his eyes and looked down at it, there was, indeed, a red flower poking up out of his foot. He sat down on his rump and wiggled his tiny foot in the air triumphantly. “See?”

Albeon with his wings still out spread them back out and looping them around each other to display the body language of him folding his wings as he tilts himself to the side as if to say 'Go on then' and to show that he is interested. Ah so eye close this time? He thinks he recalls doing that once albeit the situation of that was nowhere near as casual as this. He looks closely and can see the tiny red flower coming forth from the monkey's paw, he leans a bit forward to get a closer look.

"OK yeah that is pretty damn cool. And it's still on your paw and all neat." he of course isn't yelling in excitement he doesn't really do that, but his tone and general reaction does sound a lot more enthusiastic than the last 'compliment' he made on the other spell Tuck did.

By the Cave, the bird was complimenting him! For real this time, too! Tuck could have hopped around for the next day and a half out of sheer joy! He continued waving his tiny foot around happily for a time, before realizing that he was kind of acting like an idiot, and quickly put it back down. He let the spell die out, and the red flower shriveled up, turned brown, and fell off of his foot. He looked at the now-dead plant for a moment, feeling a little sad that it had grown and died so quickly. He wondered if there was a spell that could… make plants live forever.

Tuck looked back up at Albeon. “I wonder how many kinds of Magic there are.” He paused. “Like, I have plant Magic, and you have… I don’t know what kind of Magic yours is called, but it’s different from mine. So I wonder how many kinds there are. And how many different spells? There must be a lot!” He stuck out his lower lip as he pouted a bit. “It’ll take forever to learn all of them, probably.” He was still sitting on his rump, and he began absentmindedly picking his fur clean of bugs as thought about this.

Huh... Tuck seems to take a lot of stock in Albeon's approval, unless that's generally how he acts with everyone that he comes across. Well he seems to have composed himself for now, although he was a little bit let down on how that flower wilted so quickly they're not really cut out for something that's not loamy it appears. He stares down at the plant, now unfolding his wings and slumping them to his sides.

He makes eye contact having a blank look again, "Who knows? There might be some undiscovered ones for all we know." Seems Tuck is still a bit unsure of Albeon's still hmm "Could try my spell again, who knows what it is though, it's like some force thing." Deciding to try again with his spell, with his stone on full concentration, now come on don't fail him on this 'trust fall', he want and tried and use his spell even though he wasn't concentrating on any object.

From afar the words 'Let's see here', could be heard rather sinisterly, something he's sure he quietly said to himself. "What the...? I did that? I don't recall having a spell like that." Well this is new, actually that could be useful in taunting that certain canine from afar for the fun of it.

Tuck nodded as Albeon spoke, listening intently. For one so young, and so prone to fits if something didn’t go his way, he could be surprisingly grown up when he wanted to be. Of course, he didn’t want to be most of the time, but when it was about Magic, he could sit and listen to someone talk for hours. He was fascinated by it, because so far it was the most useful thing he had in his tiny arsenal. He wasn’t big enough to fight, and he wasn’t patient enough to be very strategic, so Magic was really the only thing he had.

The monkey waited patiently while the raven tried his spell again. He was not prepared for what happened next, though. The words ‘let’s see here’ echoed all around him like they were spoken by some invisible demon, and Tuck immediately stood up, looking around frantically for the source of the words and breathing quickly out of fear.

Albeon seemed to think the words had come from himself. Tuck stared at the bird for some time, waiting anxiously to see if the creepy whisper came back, but nothing else happened. He sat down with a huff and said, “Well, keep the whispering to yourself, why don’t ya. It’s creepy!”

Albeon would appreciate that mature side, he personally whilst loving to taunt like he's been doing with Tuck, however his moodiness makes him pretty serious to a few things in a way. Another difference is while Magick is Albeon's specialty too, his species of corvid makes him naturally smart in comparison to other Gembounds so while he isn't very strategic as compared to some of the ones who rely on that mostly it is a good back up.

Tuck was more startled than Albeon was, his natural deep voice did help in making it sound more dark so not surprising, although Albeon is more startled on how a new spell just came just like that. "It is more entertaining for me to talk to myself in a way. Still so... When one gets a new spell it just happens unknowningly when one tries to do a spell? That is a new thing." Be nice for distractions though for some other Gembounds, unless this spell is also common and some will catch on easily.

Tukluk thought about Albeon’s question. Did new spells only appear when Gembounds were trying to do a spell they already knew? “But if a new spell only shows up when you’re trying to do a spell you already know, then where does your first spell come from?” Now he was just confusing himself with all this thinking business. “Wait, I wanna try something.” He made his way over to the tiny sapling he’d created a few minutes ago — the baby Watermelon Tree. “I was wondering earlier if there was a spell that makes it so you can make a plant last forever. Maybe if I just think about it hard enough, I can… create the spell?”

He looked at the tiny plant for a good long time. “Come on, plant! Do something!” He concentrated so hard that he began to get a headache, trying to force his Magic to do… anything, really. But after a minute or so, he just couldn’t concentrate on it anymore. He had tired himself out. He sat down next to the baby plant and let out a puff of air. “I guess it doesn’t work like that. I guess you can’t make new spells just from wishing? Or maybe it just failed? I don’t know…” He was disappointed in himself then. “I’ve never failed a spell before,” he admitted softly.

Well then again there was a factor about one thing, he was intending to try Budge since he thought it was the only Spell he knew, but there was something about it that may be why Budge never happened. "Well... Then again when I tried to do my spell Budge I wasn't really concentrating on a object as a target as I couldn't find a one of interest. So... Maybe not on that.". Still he hummed in acknowledgment to Tuck when he explained his wonder on whether or not he could try a Spell that allows plant immortality.

Although he sees now that the attempt was a complete dud, it was almost embarassing really. Although he won't say that outloud this time, he's too intrigued on this topic at hand. "Perhaps the means to allow that are a bit more complex. Yeah though it so damn ANNOYING when it fails, almost like your own trust was betrayed by the Magick." he grumbled in slight annoyance, he doesn't know why it gets on his nerves so much though, perhaps a 'what if' he thinks of if his Magick decided to fail to work on Mosi? Might be, but the way he said it to Tuck sounded really weird when it was put like that, should've just mentioned the trust fall thing...

Tuck didn’t know what to think about his own Magic betraying him. Was that really how that worked? Mm. He was skeptical of that. But at the same time, it’s not like he had a clear understanding of how Magic worked, so maybe the raven was right. Though… if he was right, then that was scary! That meant that… “Wait, so, is Magic, like… alive? If it can… betray us, then… then it has to be alive, right? But then… so…” He opened his mouth and kept it open for a few seconds, and then he scrunched his eyebrows and his mouth closed again. “I’m confused,” he said, in a whiny tone of voice. “Magic is hard!”

He's sure that in actuality the two of them are still rookies in Magick, that just came out randomly as it doesn't make it less annoying really even if it was the case. Yeah, he really should've just said about the 'trust fall' thing, you have so much faith in it and its power, then decides to be tricky and just has an acratia for some reason. Although he still facepalms with his wing and groans in response to Tuck's response to a belief on whether or not the Magick is 'alive'.

Well, he better clear up that 'betrayal' thing was kinda sarcasm in a way, "That betrayal thing was a figure of speech, I'm just saying that's how it feels like. I honestly doubt that it's alive, that's crazy. It certainly is very unpredictable though, you never know when a failure will happen..." Not to add this Whisper that just came, it's extremely erratic.
