QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Deli
Deli came to with their teeth digging into fur instead of a scaled tail. They blinked, confused. Wait, hadn't Raheerah been in front of them only a moment ago? Hadn't they been burning? No...no wait they were just...kinda wet. They weren't on fire, there weren't any burns or even the smell of singed fur. Just water.
Confusion - had they backfired on their own spell then? They couldn't remember, everything was hazy, but as they let go of Comet's tail, they realized that the wolf was having trouble controlling her body. They'd meant to paralyze her so that the battle was won easily, but this...this wasn't right.
They turned to look at her, and what they were met with was pure rage and hatred as she lunged, trying to sink her teeth into their body, legs jerking beneath her as the seizure still gripped her. They stepped back out of the way and watched as she struggled to control her own body, drool dripping from her mouth. They frowned and reached forward with their magic and felt around, feeling her body, her heart, the thrum of her blood rushing through her veins, and then gripped it hard. Forcing her movements to stop - all of them, including any involuntary twitches caused by the seizure - and had her sit down. "Okay," they barked through their concentration. "I think that's enough."

Comet couldn't believe it. Sure, her seizures were gone now, but now she had no control over her entire body. She had been close, so close. But now she was being forced to sit. This was even worse than a seizure, and she felt the rage surging through her body. Silver was going to pay for that! She was going to rip them into pieces! But she couldn't do anything, and was at their mercy.
"Okay, I think that's enough." That was strange. It didn't sound like the voice of the grey fox at all. Who was that? Her anger started ebbing away, leaving her with a sense of confusion. What had happened? Replacing Silver was Deli, but that didn't change the fact that it was them that was forcing her to sit.
Comet felt her anger coming back at being forced to sit like this, but she didn't really want to continue the fight either. Her eyes picked out the fact that their fur was still wet from when she blasted them earlier with water. Perhaps she could try freezing that to make them lose their concentration?

Deli
Deli could see that the wolf was starting to calm down now and they were no longer having to hold back her frenzied kicks or stop her from accidentally hurting herself. They were probably doing more for her then she deserved, and that thought was cemented when the water on them suddenly started freezing. They yelped and pawed at the ice, losing concentration as they clawed at the ice that was now freezing their chest. "Hey, come on, I was helping ya! The fight's over, jeez!"
They were shivering now as they managed to pry most of the ice off, although taking some of their fur with them. They scowled at the wolf as they backed away. "You always do that? Freeze the guy that's stopping you from hurtin yourself? Sucks that you reacted bad to the spell, but shit you already got me back for that!"

"Well you didn't have to control me like that." Comet tried to keep her voice calm, "And you were the one who made me go crazy." There was simply no other possible explanation. Earlier she had seen the spores that caused Deli to go crazy when it backfired, but perhaps the second time the spores were invisible. And they were in close range too. The area was clean of any plants or anything else that could've caused it. So she was firm in her conclusion.
Their temper was really starting to get to her. They didn't help her, not at all! Comet was pretty sure that she would've ripped them to pieces if they hadn't stopped her, and she didn't see anything bad about that. And in a bout of rage, she tried break the painting that had started this mess into pieces.

Deli
Deli scoffed and folded their arms. "Well...shit! Did you see yourself?! You were kicking all over the place! If I hadn't stopped you you would have hurt yourself! How was I supposed to know you'd get all weird like that?" They thought that the venom just paralyzed people or made them sick not send them into a damn seizure. They rolled their eyes and turned. "Whatever. We're done. Fuck off." And they took all of one step when there was a sudden sound of water. They whipped around just in time to see the fountain of water spraying over the graphite sketch, washing off the art that they'd been working on.
Eyes widened. Cold washed over them. It hadn't exactly been a masterpiece but...nobody nobody messed with their art. Nobody! Their head snapped over to glare at Comet and it was like they suddenly exploded. "You...YOU!! THAT WAS MY ART!! THAT WAS MY AAARRRGH ARRRF RARRRRR ARF ARF ARF RAGH" And, once again, their ability to say a coherent word was swept away as they barked madly, throwing themselves at Comet, jaws open to bite down, claws out and scratched at every inch of fur and skin they could get themselves on, a flurry of sharp, natural weapons.

The wolf decided not to even respond. There was no reasoning with them: they refused to believe it was their fault. Well, it wasn't like she would care if he left.
Comet had only just realized the consequences of her mistake when Deli turned around to see it. Oh no, that was not good. She watched as the expression on their face turned from shock... to an explosion. What should she do... shield! Comet invested the rest of her energy into it, and hoped that it would appear in time to stop the attack that was sure to come.

Deli
They were flying towards Comet one minute and the next there was a barrier between them and the wolf. They let out a loud, angry bark as they collided into it facefirst and bounced back, almost comically. They fell with an oof on their back but immediately sat up again, snarling at the wolf. There was a break between the two and Deli had a moment to cool the sudden raging fire of anger and realize that they were essentially trying to murder a kid over a childish, immature action. They weren't above pranking kids and being an asshole to them, but they weren't quite as keen to kill one, especially over some stupid sketch.
They frowned. "You're an asshole," they growled. "Grow up, kid. If you're gonna be a jerk, just admit it." They got to their feet, brushing off their legs and picking up their bag again, which they'd previously flung off to protect the contents within. "And don't you go saying that I'm the asshole, because I'm quite well aware I am - and proud of it!" After a moment of glaring at her, the smile crept back on their face as they slid a hand into a pocket of their bag. "Here's a word of advice from your elder, kid - don't take things so seriously. High and mighty will only get you so far. You keep going like this and you're gonna make some enemies that are way stronger then me. Just think before you speak and act, huh?"
They were one to talk.
There was a flash of movement and, just as Deli threw the bottle of paint right at Comet - one containing pink dye - their fur rippled and went invisible. It wasn't perfect, if Comet looked closely she might see a very faint ripple in the air where they were moving, but they didn't care, turning around and walking away as if they had all the time in the world.
The shield had worked! Comet flinched when they hit the barrier and bounced off; that looked like it really hurt. Expecting another flurry of attacks, she readied herself. She waited, and when nothing came, she relaxed. This battle was starting to get a bit crazy. Why had she lost control of herself like that? Fighting over this small thing was meaningless.
The pup kept her mouth shut at their words, at this point she knew not to take their advice so she folded her ear back. She frowned at some parts, but didn't say anything so as not to start up the fighting again. Suddenly the bottle of paint came flying at her, and she didn't have any time to dodge before her fur got drenched in pink. Wow, she wasn't surprised.
But when Comet looked around, her temporarily blinded eyes could not see the difference in the air around her. "I could've defeated you if I wanted! I just didn't want to kill you." she announced, before striding off.
Note
Deli - Deli would still be very dehydrated after a Siphon cast bringing them to "severe dehydration," even after drinking; they'd be unlikely to manage combat at all. Please bear that sort of thing in mind for the future; it would not be "slight" dehydration and would likely require a recovery time of hours without Deli somehow siphoning water directly into themselves in return.
