In Orion, it is uncommon to see flowers. The stone structures crumble away onto the ground and dust fills the air.

Through the haze, one may make out a faint glowing. Pushing up between two crumbled pieces of stone is a delicate, pink flower that emits a soft light, pristine and warm inn the room of stars.

doubtless the two were bored out of their minds. Papa was away, Ash was...somewhere, and even if they did feel inclined to kick something, they saw neither hide nor tail of the hybrid monster. Brutus was off training, most likely, and they hadn't seen Mama in far too long.

So they were wandering around Orion, peeking their noses into crevices and crumbled buildings that they might not've seen yet, both Fever and Nettle, just itching to pass the time, but for some reason, the explorations and imaginative dangers of their youths when they went hunting for treasure just...didn't appeal today.

Fever thought that Nettle was particularly quiet today, and she wanted to do something to cheer him up. Anything. So when she saw a glimmer of something shining, it was brought immediately to her attention, and she ran over to go and look at it.

Nettle just...felt so uncomfortable with the thought of playing pretend. He knew that Fever would've wanted to, and wouldn't brightened up at the idea of it, especially since he could feel the boredom just radiating off of her (she never kept anything a secret), but with battle scar after scar piled onto him as time went on and he got bigger and older he just...couldn't climb mountains and go after diamonds anymore. He couldn't put himself into that innocent mindset where everything was adventurous and kind and fun.

Life wasn't like that. Life was danger and darkness and hidden threats around every corner that you needed to be stronger than, so strong it could stop any and all threats before they even started, doubtless in your power.

But when she saw something, rounded a corner and made a surprised sound, he followed her quickly, feeling an old emotion rising slowly to the surface in his chest. He locked eyes with the flower too, just as Fever stopped cold right in front of it.

"...Fever?" He asked, hesitantly, peering around her.

The two gembounds look at the flower. The thin, tall stem seems weighed down by the thin bell-shaped flower. It is calming and glowing softly with a pink light. Towards the ends of the bell, four petals curve upwards, the pink deepening into a blushy hue at their tips.

Nothing happens. Perhaps one needs to inspect the flower more, or in a different way.

Romeo had been exploring the ruins of Orion for a long while by now, weighed down heavy by the wooden object on his back. It was as he wandered through the crumbled stones he came upon a pretty little flower. And this made Romeo curious. He'd seen the flowers in Eridanus of course, but never before had he seen a flower in Orion, and even the Eridanus flowers didn't look like... that.

But unfortunately for him, it seemed the little thing was guarded. Not that he was wary around other creatures, but... man were those things big. Best be careful he wasn't stepped on. Moving forward, the little one looked for a way to get in close to the flower, a way in which he wouldn't be too close. But as much as he tried, he was unable to dind the perfect way to enter. So instead, the tanuki climbed onto a rock and peered longingly at the cute little flower. Settling down, he ran his paws over the strings of his noisemaker and it out a light and calm sound. As annoying as the urge to satisfy his curiosity could be, his primitive music always helped to calm him down.

Romeo is too far away to properly sniff the flower. It seems, though, as he strums the instrument, that the flower's glow begins to shine a little brighter.

Nothing happens. Perhaps one needs to inspect the flower more, or in a different way.

Romeo didn't quite know what, but something about that glow, the delicacy of that flower was simply tantalizing. And even the flower seemed to appreciate his music; its glow seemed to grow brighter and Romeo knew immediately that he needed to get a closer look, somehow. It reminded him of the heart that beat under his gem, when he sat at a pool's edge and cast a spell to illuminate it with his gem's soft glow. Having failed sniffing at it, a new idea came into his head, and Romeo knew immediately that he wanted to try it. When such an idea struck Romeo, it struck with a train of thought that was borderline obsession, and now that he had a plan, he wouldn't let it go. He gave his soft music a brief finishing tone so that he could return the big, heavy instrument to his back. And then he began to clamber down from the rock on which he'd started to play.

He looked around, edging closer and closer and closer, and stole a glance at the two rhinos. He'd be in and out; surely the flower wouldn't mind the loss of one petal. It'd be like shedding a fur. He was close to the flower now, and Romeo reached out his small muzzle to pull at a delicate petal...

Victor walked slowly, swishing his little tail as he looked around for a moment. He sniffed the air as travelled through the cave. He could smell others, a few others actually. He stepped closer until a flower came into view. It was strange, he had never seen anything like it before. He slowly stepped up towards it at attempted to take a closer look at it. He wanted to learn more about this strange flower, it as just so beautiful, he couldn't just ignore it. His quills were raised up and spread out for now protectively, just in case somebody came up behind him while he was investigating the flower.

Asurai walked through the cave slowly, dragging her tail along the ground as her eyes laid low. She didn't think much about herself, not at all. What was her purpose in life? What was she here for? She had nothing. She stopped for a moment and slowly looked up as she noticed a faint glow. That was when she saw a strange flower. She stared at it before looking down slowly. She noticed everyone else, but she didn't say a word. She had nothing to say, nothing to add or state. Besides, whoever they were probably did want to hear anything she said.

Romeo plucks a petal from the flower. With a sharp shot of light, the flower shatters into a pink dust. Even the stem turns into the pink dust. Then... nothing. It is gone just as quickly as it appeared.
