HAI GUISE.

So, I have a few ideas for Children of Rot activity. I'm thinking of doing a group-wide monthly contest or task, as well as smaller games, contests and threads, in addition to the plot events.

Thing is, there aren't enough of us to do the really big things, so most of the huge events will need to wait. Here's some of my ideas thus far:

- Hunting: Gather food for Aquarian. This can be ongoing, but I'm not sure how to organize it--maybe a hunting thread overall, or individual ones. I intend to find a way to RP out prey animals that you lot will need to roll for to kill. I might even make a list of "special" or rare prey animals--specific individuals with special characteristics--that if you roll a crit while hunting, you can find and try to catch :3

- Preaching: Willow and sometimes even Dragon might hold little gatherings where we discuss philosophy. There'll be a lot of weird natural selection stuff, crazy cult brainwashing, and asking others for their input on various concepts and ideas. This will be about character development, not action.

- Sacrifices and Festivals: Willow and sometimes Dragon will likely end up creating big events to make offerings to Aquarian. These events will be something like a pagan ritual in summer: a big bonfire, crazy cult speeches, maybe things like hallucinogenic spores so everyone has crazy visions, and then a giant pile of corpses or even life sacrifices to Noodle Dad.

- Sparring: both physical and magical contests of skill, intended to hone and prepare the members of CoR for real hostile situations. This may, once we have enough numbers, take a sort of tournament format.

- Scouting/Preaching: Dragon may send a scout, accompanied by a bodyguard (or more) or not, to preach some of the philosophy of CoR and try to get more members. This will take the OOC form of Willow going to another group's territory and screeching insane nonsense to give them some fun, and maybe actually gather some groupless Gembound to Cetus on the way.

- Scavenger Hunts: (of a sort). I might have small monthly contests to send members outside Cetus to gather: 1. information on particular subjects or areas, 2. strange plants to bring back, grow & experiment with in Cetus, or rare foods or treasures for Aquarian; loose gems, pieces of armor, etc.

but also so he has some nice fruit and stuff to eat (along with anyone else who eats stuff other than meats)

Big pig can be a guard, and he can also gather plants (by growing them into his skin)! And if Tal'at makes a garden he can help grow it with his magic. :^O I'll update this post when/if I get ideas for events and such b/c I'm a big baby with none atm!

tal and big pig need to become friends. tal is v soft and gentle and it might be good for big pig

omg absolutely. 8^D They need to be best friendos and Tal can totally ride on his back + big pig needs a calming influence so he doesn't just end up a rabid beastie. <3

I've decided on something else.

Madison's hooked me /UP/ *gang fingers or something* with a Prey Account. THAT MEANS, starting as soon as you mofos get back with Talat's garden stuff and we can event with something else, I am going to hold aaaaaa:


HUNTING CONTEEEEEEEEEST

The way this will work is probably like this (but any suggestions are welcome):

You will all be set up with a scout + hunter, paired. So ex. Talat might be paired with Czern, and Eve with Ghanyarah, Willow with Dragon, or whatever, however it works out--requests are allowed but chances are I'll roll for it or pair unusual pairs so people have a chance to develop with scary strangers.

Once you each have posts up, the scout will search for prey, and depending on their roll in their scouting post I'll assign a prey animal with the prey account, and RP/DM the prey animal doing whatever it has to to survive, be that hiding in small places, fighting back, fleeing at high speed, or whatever. It'll be up to each group to take down their prey.

I WILL OFFER MAGICKA REWARDS. I think I'll try and work it so that the longer the thread, and the sooner it's finished, the higher the reward will be. This is just to make it more fun and add more incentive for activity! :3

Possible example?

10+ posts: 30 (per person)
OR 20+ posts: 55 (per person)
OR 30+ posts: 75 (per person)

Threads finished within 1 week will get +20 magicka per person. 2 weeks, +10.

A successful hunt will mean a higher reward, and rarer prey (higher scout roll!) will = more as well. I may have to lower the previous numbers for my own sanity + based on how I value prey.

Donations of magicka put toward this raffle-style are appreciated, but otherwise I'll fund it myself! Thoughts?!

The next competition after that will likely be a tournament of some kind; the little guys can fly so for them we might fight them against each other, or make their battles magical. I'll sort out the details then but chances are there'll be rewards for 1st & 2nd places, and possibly rewards for completed practice/sparring threads done in advance.
