Animal is a type of elemental magic found in Origin Cave. These spells offer the ability to tap into the the carnal inner strength of life itself. Tends to cause dissociative sensations. 1)

Spells

Those blessed with the element of Animal have no power over their environment - instead, they have extreme control over their own body and senses. One with animal magic has heightened perception and can be considered biologically honed. They can better their physical form with little effort, adapting to environments with ease. These Gembounds are incredibly versatile to all kinds of environments and conditions, using stealth and intuition to make the most of their surroundings, including other creatures nearby. They can tap into the raw life force of all creatures, using it as they will. 2)

Low Intensity

Red Sense - Low Intensity Detection. Using a heightened sense of both touch and hearing, the user can detect the heartbeats of any living creature within a room. Experienced users can extend their detection to nearby tunnels. An abundance of creatures may impart a sensory overload on the user.

Chromatophore - Low Intensity Transformation. Using specialized skin cells, the user can lighten or darken their skin or fur pigment as they desire. This doesn't change the colour, only the shade; and it requires concentration to be effective.

Night Vision - Low Intensity Transformation. For a brief period, the user's eyes develop a highly reflective tissue that can reflect light, offering sharper vision in extremely low light conditions.

Medium Intensity

Lesser Empathy - Medium Intensity Detection. The user's brain chemistry is temporarily altered to match those of a target - thus, the user can experience the basal emotions of another creature, be it aggression, fear, contentedness, etc. This spell can leave the user feeling dissociative after.

Camouflage - Medium Intensity Transformation. The user's skin or fur can change colours at the user's whim. This can be used to blend in with the environment, express emotions, or simply for amusement, but extended or repeated use of this spell can leave the user's skin feeling irritated.

High Senses - Medium Intensity Detection. All of the user's senses: sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing, are greatly heightened. The effects of this spell last up to 1 minute.

Ephemevenom - Medium Intensity Offensive. The user has the capability to synthesize venom into their saliva that can poison ONE target upon biting. The poison then degrades back into the user's body. Failing this spell may cause the user to poison themselves. Poisoning has such effects as temporary paralysis, nausea, or seizures.

Bone Case - Medium Intensity Offensive. An incredibly painful spell that causes the user's bones to synthesize excess calcium into bone. This additional bone tissue punctures the skin and emerges in the form of offensive spines that can protect the user or be shed at will.

High Intensity

Bloodhold - High Intensity Manipulation. The user can manipulate the body of another animal, but this requires intense concentration and mental coordination, and only lasts up to 2 minutes.

Reflect - High Intensity Transformation. The skin or fur of the user becomes highly reflective, turning the user nearly invisible. This spell requires constant focus or the reflective properties of the spell will fade away.

Focal Sense - High Intensity Detection. Four of the user's senses are sacrificed in favor of one, but that single sense is amplified such that the user can detect nearly anything. The spell lasts for as long as the user can concentrate, but will usually result in headaches and numbness as their body recovers.

Group Specific Spells

Revitalizing Rot - Medium Intensity Transformation. When cast, wounded flesh rapidly decays and rots away, to be replaced by swiftly-regrown tissue. Very painful, and can leave severe scar tissue. (Children of Rot Groups-Specific Spell)

Original Sin - Medium Intensity Detection. By implanting a seed of suggestion in the target's brain, the user encourages the target to give in to base desires and primal urges. The magic directly affects the target's mind and what the target feels can be influenced by the user if they are experienced enough. This can be used in many ways from persuading a friend to debilitating a foe, or indulging in one's own seven sins. (Sinful Seven's Groups-Specific Spell)
