alive An ethereal creature made almost entirely of energy. The size and build of a draft horse, but with branching Larimar antlers and clawed forelimbs. Specular's eyes are true mirrors, and particles of starlight--not dangerous to the touch--seem to flow through a body with no true physical form. The brushy tip of a serpentine tail crackles with electricity. Bolts of electrical energy trail across whatever substrate they pass over.

alive The enigmatic Momma Bolormaa quietly goes about her business of collecting the gemstones of fallen Gembound. No one knows why she does this; but in a secret grotto in Tunnel I, she cares for them as if they were lost children, keeping them warm and safe. She also appears for various love-related festivals and ceremonies, often to host bonding ceremonies at the Union Pillars, for example, in Tunnel M. Physically, Momma Bolormaa appears something like a cross between an eastern dragon and a sugar glider, the size of a large dog: brindled brown-and-blue fur, four ears, whiskers and a beard, a long arched neck and tail, and loose skin between clawed limbs allowing her to glide. She has a marsupial pouch, in which her stone--a Morganite--rests.

elsewhere Once a year, when the snow begins to fall the caves begin to chill, one might be able to hear the jolly jingling of sleigh bells and the laughter of the elusive Naskital. While not always physically seen, his presence can be felt in the sudden appearance of presents and the spirit of giving and joy that settles over the caves during this special time of year!

alive A large, candy cane-striped beast with a shaggy build and curved horns. Peppermince has a powerful sweet tooth and, being a rather simple beast, very little understanding of ownership. As a result, despite his generally good nature, it is easy for Peppermince to accidentally prompt conflict when he tries to (for example) take another's sweets.

alive A mysterious, corvid-like humanoid whose long, feathery cloak appears to be a part of his actual body. Black goggles and a plague mask also seem to be physical features; only his black hat is not a part of him. While enthusiastic and not malicious, nevertheless his ideas of "improving" a Gembound tend toward the unintentionally gruesome.
