Group Contest: Stage I

Some of you have been asking for this for a long time, since group creation's been closed since, like, forever. With the revival of Origin, staff have decided to open a group contest to allow people to make their own groups and gauge interest and let the whole community vote for the two groups they want to see on Origin.

So... how does it work?

Well, anyone can become a leader in a group. All you have to do is fill out the following form and post it on the character that will lead the group:

OOC Name:
Character Name: Who's going to lead the group?
Group Name:
Territory:
Primary & Secondary Color: Please give in hexcodes!

Details: Do you have any ideas about what to do for ranks? Laws? Events? Potential plots? This is a very free-form section, and you can kinda do whatever you want.

Group-specific spell: This is where it gets interesting. Here, you can define a GSS here that will help to personalize your group and really make it stand apart from others.

In Stage II, people will get to vote for the groups they want to see active on Origin, and they will be added! Stage I will end 6/10/16 @ 11:59 PM CST

#2
OOC Name: Arkrael
Character Name: Arkrael
Group Name: The Guardians
Territory: Eridanus
Primary & Secondary Color: Gold and Green (FBB917 x 387C44)

Details: that can all be found HERE: /showthread.php?tid=2447 There is a LOT of info so I wasn't going to slam it into this thread :X

Group-specific spell: Force shield: When gathered into a group, members of the Guardian's can bond their energies, creating a force that will either give them a thin shield on medium sized parts of their bodies to potentially save them from what could be a life threatening assault. Depending on their roll they can either create small to medium sized shields, or one large shield on a roll 18-20, upon themselves or they can push their energy to a nearby companion whom may need an added level of protection against the forces they could potentially be fighting. The strength of the shield also depends on the roll. If the roll is low, the shield is easily shattered. If the roll is high it is much harder to break through the shield to inflict injury.

OOC Name: lisa
Character Name: Ares (in name only; the group will be lead by Ares, Destiny & another gembound)
Group Name: The Flower Children
Territory: Polaris (if possible - if not, then Cetus)
Primary & Secondary Color: #ff4d4d & #84e963

Details: look at the table under this info thingie~

Group-specific spell:
Soothing Scent - A Spell taught only to the Knights of the Flower Children. The Caster can emit a calming scent, generally sweet, which influences all Gembounds nearby, lulling them into a state of peace && filling them with the desire to make up with whoever they were fighting -when the cast is a Crit Success.
Success Rolls still do a lot to calm the heated temperaments, but they may not be as strong or last as long.

This spell is also often used on wounded/dying Gembounds to lull them into a light slumber or a near painless state to stop them from falling into a panic and/or slip away peacefully.

The Flower Children
dream it, wish it, do it

The Flower Children is a group consisting mostly of Ares' closest friends. They're highly peace-oriented individuals, led by a council made up of at least three members ( once the group accumulates enough members to allow this ) - five if the group grows.

They're easily recognizable by the flowercrowns they're wearing ( baubled && preserved ), made by Ares individually for each member ( they can choose not to wear them at all times, but it's known that Ares loves seeing them do so, at least at formal meetings ).

The Flower Children strive to keep peace in the Caves && act as helping hand to all those who need it. They will do their best to stay out of conflicts while offering a sanctuary to those wounded or abandoned in such.
They do not judge those who come to them - it may be hard to accept for some members but Ares truly believes that anyone && everyone can change when they want to && he wants to give those who want to try a place to better themselves.

Despite the Rank-System hinting at a Monarchy, the group is actually a mix between a direct && a parliamentary democracy. While the Council is generally not elected, all major decisions are felled by voting of the group's members.

The Flower Children as a group do not follow a specific belief, but the members are encouraged to follow a faith if they so desire && it does not interfere with the duties they have to the group.

Laws

I. Strive to always be the best version of yourself.
II. Be righteous in your doings and treat everyone with respect.
III. Accept that you can never know everything - but never close your ears to new knowledge.
IV. Kill your prey painlessly or learn to live off plants.
V. Never turn away a Gembound seeking your help.

Ranks

Total: :m: - 3 ⋄ :f: - 2 ⋄ :o: - 2
Bonded Couples: 0

The Council Members
The Council Members make up the High Council which leads the group for the most part. The group strives for a democratic system, allowing the members to vote on decisions, but the High Council stands above the group to represent it.

Ares:o::plant:Flowercrown: Pink Roses
Destiny:f::animal:Flowercrown: Black Magic Hollyhocks

The Knights
While the title may hint at a rank of fighters, The Knights actually make up the main force of The Flower Children, though they do not fight.
All members of the group above the age of four cycles ( this rule will come in place once the group is a bit older ) are welcomed into this rank once they've proven their loyalty && devotion with a large ceremony.
The Knights also act as mentors for the Princes, Princesses && Squires. One Knight can only have one "student" at a time. They teach their student the laws of the Flower Children && train them in the arts of magic.

Finn:m::earth:Flowercrown: Night Bloom Water Lilies
Wynter:m::water:Flowercrown: Forget-Me-Nots
Nassir:o::arcane:Flowercrown: tba
Cupid:m::plant:Flowercrown: tba
Sìleas:f::light:Flowercrown: tba

The Princes && Princesses
This rank is for all young Gembounds, who are too young to be Knights.
Children are highly cherished in the group && celebrated for their potential of bringing more peace upon their world. They're also admired for their pure, uninfluenced view of the world.

none

The Squires
All Gembounds who joined The Flower Children after their birth ( meaning they were not born into the group ) but wish to be a part of the group are placed in this rank. They are training to become Knights as soon as possible while proving their loyalty to the group.

Ceremonies

The Crowning
This ceremony is held when a member rises in rank - a Prince/Princess becoming a Knight or a Knight becoming a Council Member.
It's characterized by being held on a field of flowers && the member(s) being celebrated being awarded a new flowercrown.
All members are supposed to attend && congratulate the honored member, as well as being encouraged to say some kind words about them in an open round && encourage them to do even better in the future.

The Bonding
When two or more members decide that they want to stay together forever, whether they feel platonic love or romantic love for each other, they may request a Bonding ceremony.
The whole Group attends the bonding, showering the bonding Gembounds with kind words, good wishes && presents. These can be as small or as big as those who are giving the gifts desire - the gifts are given away anonymously, though. The gifts are brought to the Council Members before the start of the ceremony, out of sight of the bonding Gembounds.

During the Ceremony, the bonding Gembounds may choose to strengthen their bond by casting Sensorial Link, though it is definitely not needed.

The bonded Gembounds often exchange one or two flowers of their flowercrown with those of their mates, to openly symbolize their love. This is a habit adopted by the Princes && Princesses as well, exchanging flowers as a taken of childhood love long before the age needed to request a bonding ceremony ( four cycles ).

The Honoring
This Ceremony is held when a member died/is dying. They're put abed in a field of flowers ( those adorning their flowercrown ) while every member is present && leaves the dying Gembound a gift or plucks a flower to lay it beside them ( a flower from their flowercrown ).

The Knights && Members of the High Council hold vigil while the soul of the dead Gembound departs. Princes && Princesses are not allowed to enter the flowerfield during this time, younger Knights often volunteer to keep them away, giving the higher ranked && older members time to say goodbye.

The Crowns

The Crowns visibly denote the rank of each && every member. They have to be created by one of the current Council Members to be valid. As mentioned before, they're all made using Bauble && Preserve, making them look like halos && being everlasting. They're made to match the colors of each Member's Gem.

The Council Members wear the richest crowns. They glow the brightest, though not enough to be unpleasant to the eyes.
All Council Members have crowns with different colours && flowers to set them apart.

The Knights wear rather sparse crowns, symbolizing their humbleness && being aimed more at practical use ( aka not being annoying && a pain to wear ) than at showing off. They still glow, but fainter than those of the Council Members. They're also highly personalized, with colors && the flowers matching the wearer.

The Princes && Princesses wear small crowns. They don't glow but are generally made using brightly colored flowers.

hi there i know we're late but its because we hadnt quite finished up a few things but may i just say

"A group will disband if it falls below 3 members or loses its leader(s). There will always be an opportunity for members of the group to revive it before it is disbanded, either by recruiting more members or finding a new leader. If a group is at risk of disbanding, all of its existing members will be alerted so that they can attempt to arrange a group revival if desired. " i feel like this wasn't really done and no one really gave us a chance so cut us some slack and give us a chance here

and also i hate to be a wet blanket but
"Minimum 1 Leader — Minimum 3 Followers"
are people actually still interested in arks group now that ark is a murder machine cause uh
i feel like a lot of the people who were interested in arks group are either inactive or no longer interested do to literal plot reasons
which is unfortunate but a point i MUST bring up, that group thread is months old now isn't it?

now that im done stirring shit we have an 8 page google doc on this but here's the actual info we have so far

TUTUS INTRO SUUS MOENIS, CONPACTUS SUB SUUS ASTRUM
MAJI WALEZI RISES FROM THE ASHES

THE CASTE SYSTEM

The ROYAL HOUSE consists of members of the Songcat family, adoptive and blood, and are the highest in the hierarchy. This caste consists of...
I. The KING AND QUEEN, the highest ranked members of Maji Walezi, charged with its protection and organization. These monarchs have the final authority in all group matters. The king and queen must be mates, and there can only be a single king or queen. This caste approves the laws that other high Caste members (Barons, Lords, Dukes) propose, make or break alliances between MW and others, appoint the Guild Masters, and host group events.

II. The HEIR is the second most important rank after that of the monarchs, usually inheriting their position if anything happens to the acting King and Queen. The heir is typically a close relative of the monarchs and is selected through vote by the caste of nobility. If not of adult age, the heir has no official duties or authority. Heirs cannot become a Guild Master, but can host group events.
⟡ The current Heir is Quintus.

III. The PRINCES AND PRINCESSES are the children of the King and Queen. They tend to make good diplomats and peacekeepers, but cannot make alliances without the approval of the acting ruler(s). If not of adult age, the princes and princesses have no official duties or authority. This caste can host group events.

The GUILD MASTERS are the closest advisors of the monarchy, and the commanders of their respective guilds, helping members of Maji Walezi who have not yet decided on their guild towards fitting them to a suitable career. Once a prospective guild member has completed their trial, the guild master is tasked with giving the new recruit a baubled object signifying their choice in guild. Guild Masters also hold sway in trials, making suggestions to lawmakers concerning both laws and rulings. This caste consists of...
I. The RANGER'S GUILD, the defense and warring faction, responsible for the safety of the inhabitants of Pisces. Rangers are sentinels who usually remain on the home front, protecting those within the walls and borders of Pisces from harm and keeping a careful patrol. At times Rangers will be ordered to go on expeditions with the Researcher's Guild, exploring the deep dark of Origin Cave to bring back any treasure, items of interest, or undiscovered beasts for the Monarch to evaluate alongside the Seeker's Guild. Gembounds who choose to be Rangers are usually passionate, with hobbies that make them want to put forth their best effort - but they can also be problematic for the other members of Maji Walezi, with mischievous behaviors or boundless energy. The Ranger's Guild is split into units comprising of five members each, and is headed by a Unit Captain. The entire guild is organized by the Master of War.

II. The SEEKER'S GUILD is composed of those who observe nature and the way it works - everyone from doctors and scientists to adventurers. Under the authority of the Master of [NAME], the Seekers are responsible for manning health clinics within Pisces, as well as developing plans to establish hospitals and a daycare with the Builder's Guild. The current orders for Guild members are to perform research on any undiscovered native Gembound to Origin Cave and to develop potential remedies for poisons and disease. Those who choose to become Seekers are responsible and mature to a fault, practicing sincerity and reserved, quiet existences. They prioritize order in their work space and lives, as most of their days are spent identifying and establishing the names and properties of various artifacts, plants, and beasts in the Caves. Seekers are permitted to accompany units from the Ranger's Guild, although their participation in battle is uncommon, unless they happen to have former experience. Their efficiency in the field is more cerebral than that of Rangers, focusing on strategy and healing wounded allies. Seekers are multi-skilled individuals, often a guiding light and natural nurturers, desiring harmonious bonds and following their morals to the dot.

IV. The ARTS GUILD description here

OOC Name: Toppa
Character Name: Quintus
Group Name: Maji Walezi
Territory: Pisces
Primary & Secondary Color: Steel Gray (#43464B) and Indigo (#4B0082)

Details: See above.

Group-specific spell:
FLECTO AQUA AD VOLUNTAS -- Those who protect the walls of Pisces are given the power (and responsibility) of its water, which can be drawn from the surrounding water sources of the waterfall and lake to bend into fierce jetstreams. These are usually used to carve messages and tomes onto stone surfaces, but can also be used to pin down foes or blast them away from innocent bystanders.

(characters currently interested in mw 2.0)

Quintus (as the leader), Baroque, Hawthorne, Eve, Coyah, Wisteria, and @Sonata and @Cadence are welcome, along with any previous MW members in general.

also +2-5 more are joining after the fact, but they have to sort out some plot related stuff first... there will definitely be enough members, as there always has been for mw lmao

obv its still a work in progress but honestly mw shouldnt have been disbanded in the first place (shrugs)
