Looking For

MOST PLOTS ON HOLD UNTIL HER 2^nd CYCLE. THANK YOU!

1. A mentor that will play a pivotal role in her development. This character will ideally be gentle, wise, and accomodating of a little bat's curiosities as she strives to learn the ways of the Origin Caves. Preferred: Deep IC/OOC knowledge of Origin and its lore.

   Note: I am not sure how learned/aware Gembound are at awakening, but I am going to have her being pretty ignorant. She will need a good teacher!

   TBD: Ghanyarah, Kin-Kin, Bartos

2. A best friend and companion. Naturally, she will need someone to call her closest pal and most dependable steed. Her mischevity and wit will invite a plethora of shenanigans that will be fun to RP... and perhaps get them into some harmless trouble!

   Note: This character can be anybody, truly, so long as they have a good head on their shoulders. Open to having multiple best pals!

3. Antagonists. She is tiny. Small. Delicate. I would like to have someone that can give her a hard time once in a while- a bully of sorts. It can be playful teasing or less-kind teasing, I welcome either. Lituus has a hardy personality, but I am not opposed to scenes that will make her go to bed crying. How terrible of me. See Hook #3 below.

   Note: There is a high probability that any and all physical aggression thrown her way will cause serious injury. (See: Tiny Little Bat◥)

4. Other. Got an idea of your own? Hit me with it! Lay it down and we can go back and forth brainstorming. Ideally I intend to get her an active role in a group and eventually collect gembound of a noble, benevolent nature to act as a Origin Cave pseudo-vigilante group. I think that would be hilarious and absolutely nothing would go wrong. Sarcasm. We'll see where the RP goes!

Character Hooks

These are a few blurbs I came up with to help inspire ideas for threads between our characters. Feel free to offer your own! I am open.

1. Lituus clings to the scruff or breast of larger mammals if she is trying to have a conversation with them. Likewise, you may feel an itch on your back, or between your ears. It's probably her, hitching a free ride between tunnels. Funny how you didn't notice her until now.
2. You were doing something unscrupulous and the earth shook for no reason. There certainly weren't any earth gems around, were there? No. It was her. Silently judging you. Naughty behavior shalt be punished by the tiny little bat.
3. Being carnivorous, you mistake her for a lesser gembound and attempt to gobble her up for your evening meal! That is, of course, until she begins speaking and you realize she is another cognizant. Hopefully you will be kind enough to spit her out or give up pursuit! Ahh, wouldn't they make the unlikiest of friends?
4. This insectivore makes her home in The Heart of Cetus, where the deep marsh inspires the congregation of countless insects- a delectable feast. Though the impossibly misty conditions make it difficult for other creatures to see, echolocation allows her to move around the densely forested room with ease. Lituus will willingly guide gembound that become lost in Cetus to the entrance of Tunnel H.
5. Although much of her time is spent in Cetus, she will flitter between Pisces and Eradinous in search of company. On more daring days, she will travel to Orion to stare at the beauty of the quartz-speckled ceiling, or test her wings in the whipping winds of Monoceros. Random encounters with Tenzin, Aquarian, or Batcat sound like they could be fun!

I can totally offer Kin-Kin as an antagonist. She can be a dick to newborns, introducing them to magic and harsh life in the caves in her own special way. Whilst not exactly evil and she definitely wouldn't eat the little bat, she might joke about it, finding amusement in having the little one constantly on edge. She enjoys being a role model and 'teaching' magic, and she has a couple of earth spells herself! She could even be a more reluctant, narcissistic, less motherly role model if you like. <3

All of that sounds wonderful, @Kin-Kin! To be honest, I was thinking of a more reluctant role model. Ahhh, haha. Sign me up!

I get the feeling she will have many near-eated experiences. Aha! I will poke you after my opening thread with Lituus is completed, @Teyouma II !

Ghanyarah used to be a bus (see: aptly titled "bus" artwork in his profile), so if you want someone to cling to, he could be your guy!! Yara used to have a bat friend in the Children of Rot before they all went away, so Lituus would make him really nostalgic about being a bus. I'd def be interested in them coming together, maybe he could be a mentor? He's been around for a long time, he isnt very smart but he's a pretty good story teller. He has a tree in Cetus containing all his drawings of important gembounds/events.

@Lituus -- Tuck wouldn't fit any of the character roles you're looking for, but he'd love to meet a new face!

@Ghanyarah: Storyteller? Bus? Cetus? Yaaaaas! Count me in. *rubs hands together excitedly* Her first trip to Cetus could totally be with him. She'd hear all the buzzing insects and quickly learn the swamp is the best place for getting food (for her, anyway). I look forward to our interactions in her opening thread. Admittedly I imagine her travelling on people's backs most of the time, just learning and looking around in (relative) safety. Like a fly on the wall, lurking in your threads (with permission). ♥

@Tukluk: Meeting new faces will be ideal, especially as she grows to maturity! Perhaps she will meet Tuk after her first encounter with Tey and just be wary of the strange-looking monkey things. LOL. Or vice-versa. That would be fun!

@Lituus she is absolutely allowed to cling to him forever and lurk in all his threads 8) i think ghanyarah is just completely in love with her (in a non-romantic way, like more as a daughter or a pet??), afaik from this thread!! Ahahah... He's such a lonely little loser. And he'll def take her to cetus!
