Fall Festival
Welcome to the last week of October! Crazy how time flies, huh? The Gembound of Origin Cave have decided to come together to celebrate the (very slightly) cooler cycles of the year with an arts and crafts festival. Fortune-telling, jewelry, barbeque... you name it, and there might be a booth for it.
The
main area of Polaris has been made into the central hub for the festival, decorated with grimacing- and laughing-faced jack-'o-lanterns. A number of spaces have been set up so that any attendants have plenty of space to move and show off their wares and skills.
How Do I Participate?
Characters can participate by
setting up and
running booths or
visiting booths. Any of the following activities will net an additional magicka reward, once they've exited a thread:
— Completing a thread to set-up a booth onscreen rewards ʡ 15.
The character has done something to decorate a booth and/or made something to show.
— Completing a thread running a booth onscreen rewards ʡ 20.
The character has at least tried to interact with one or more visitors before exiting.
— Visiting a booth onscreen rewards ʡ 5 per booth thread.
The character has at least tried to interact with a booth attendant before exiting.
!! A character running a booth doesn't mean they can't take a break and shop around!
All threads related to booths and the Fall Festival must have a
[FF] prefix to be claimed. For example: Astraea opens a booth selling morels; he would name his booth thread something to the tune of
[FF] More Morels, Please. Any booth needs only
one thread that characters can enter and exit as they please.
Booth Set-up threads should have a prefix reading
[FF Set-up], to be clear about which are and aren't Booth threads that can be attended.
A Brief Halloween Special!
Lyn and
Meissa have caught wind of the festivities and have grown their very own pumpkin patch. They are
giving out pumpkins to any Gembound that comes by! Rumor has it, they're
magical pumpkins...
Nemean is proclaiming herself to be the Terror-Witch! (
don't forget the exclamation point!) She's been leading Gembound to her
Tunnel of Frightmares with a promise of a reward at the end... if you
dare! Mwuahahahahahaha... !
Both of these GM-run "booths" will be open for new participants until
November 1st @ 11:59 PM EST.
When Does The Festival End?
The Fall Festival itself will be expected to
end November 15th @ 11:59 PM EST, but it may be extended or shortened as necessary.
