Some information in this thread is for OOC knowledge, such as the alignment and "Him." Guild masters will have received some form of mandates from Him and will have knowledge ICly of Him, but other characters may not initially know of Him or Jinsei's true ambitions for Him. Characters are free to follow their own alignment and goals while a part of BSS, and are not expected to be "chaotic evil" while researching for BSS—as long as their research priorities come first; or if they are Serpents, that their protective or otherwise dirty paws/claws/teeth serve BSS first and foremost.

Some reoccurring NPC interaction will be seen within this group. This group is a way we plan to release lore into the site, so NPCs such as Senka, Vahi and others may frequent group activity of Bah Sect Sao. That being said, this group will need member requirements and activity requirements the same as any others, and will disband if it fails to uphold requirements. NPCs will not count toward member total.

There is no true order within Bah Sect Sao. Jinsei is incapable of it, which is why he has recruited for guild masters to assist him with his overall goal to better the Gembounds. While he has background support from some NPCs who share and encourage the ambitions of Bah Sect Sao—or may have even influenced it—they also have other jobs to do and cannot commit fully to it. Research, fighting, or any other quests completed for Bah Sect Sao are done for a higher being only known as Him.

How the guilds and their members tackle their tasks is up to them, but Jinsei would prefer some things remain standard:

— The purposeful destruction of greater Gembounds is prohibited, whether they are a part of Bah Sect Sao or not. If Gembounds fight, injury up to the point of reformation is allowed; but the destruction of greater Gembound life is prohibited.

— The NPCs involved with Bah Sect Sao are considered like superiors, and expected to be treated with some form of respect; but Jinsei does not ask this outright. It's up to your character whether or not they want to deduce this for themselves, and they are free to do as they please. Nothing is guaranteed—being a part of Bah Sect Sao does not grant one immunity from anything, affiliated NPC or otherwise.

— Anything learned within one's time in a research guild or within Bah Sect Sao in general is classified and must remain a secret unless otherwise given the OK to release. If a member leaves Bah Sect Sao for any reason or the group disbands, this information is expected to remain classified. He watches.

THE GUILDS:
There are three guilds within Bah Sect Sao, each overseeing a different aspect of research and magic. Each are equally important.

— Guild of Creation looks at life, the death and rebirth of things, what effects different revival attempts might have on stones, and different effects of breeding; what can be created, and how; what are the limits? Etc. Open Availability.

— Guild of Destruction looks at both the permanent death of a Gembound and the reformation process, but their subjects are not the other greater Gembounds they interact with normally. They farm or gather lesser Gembounds as test subjects, which are more plenty and less valuable to lose should something go wrong. What is the most effective way they are killed—and if they find it, how do they prevent it? How do they, as Gembounds, grow stronger? How do they reach peak capability to destroy? Open Availability.

— Guild of the Serpent is of limitless capacity, available to everyone that might want to be apart of His Will; if researching in either of the other Guild departments does not fit you, fear not. Simply choosing to honor your pledge to answer any call is good enough. Can be thought of as the guardians of the researchers, the fighters, or anyone willing to get their hands dirty if the time may come. Limitless Availability.

In the old BSS, Toppa was considering having @Gabriel be the head of research, due to its keenness for research and the fact that it has no problem experimenting with both Lesser and greater Gembounds. The Guild of destruction seems like it’d be perfect for its plotline and mindset! The guild also fits in extremely well with the plans I had for Gabriel’s old group, the Covenant(will put in a link later). So I’d love to have Gabriel in on this if you’re game for it!

@Kin-Kin I think Guild of Destruction would fit for Gabriel and definitely his jam. I'll talk to you a little more about the Head position and what it means to receive a mandate.

@χάος Possibly! But not for GoD if Gabirel might be the Head. Someone will be needed as Serpent Head (which will basically be like the gathered army).

Reseda would definitely be into guild of destruction if she gets to experiment on things. Although she will not, personally, care at all about the group, she will act like she will just to get a look at their research, if that's ok.
