QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
kerberos goes for a swim, and attempts to prevent another gembound from entering the freezing river. the beast fights again, this time against a gembound older and more experienced then him. they both end up in the river, and usui gets away before kerberos can eat him.
"That’ll teach you from calling me food Kerberos!”

kerberos meets a wise hyena, who puts up with him just long enough to offer him a bone reading. however, when the white puppy crashes into the reading and tries to eat her bones, they get into a fight. giggle escapes being eaten by growing sticky, nasty fungi in her fur and proceeds to teach him about lesser gembounds, the food chain, and most importantly, what the bones had to say about him: one day, kerberos will be a hero.
"Go and speak and listen and learn, and you will be both wise and strong. And nothing can stop those who are both wise and strong."
FIGHT: GIGGLE WINS, KERBEROS LOSES.

kerberos exits canis through tunnel k, and enters orion
determined to speak, listen and learn, kerberos practices his magic. he creates a clone of himself and draws a curious batcat to his training exercise. the two interact, until batcat clones a sloppy, black mess of a baby from his body... and then flies away. kerberos uses his heat up magic to bring the baby clone to life, and watches as it snarls and flies off after its parent.
"KER-BER-OS. KER-BER-OS!"

some mutt has been slobbering all over the bones... surprise it's kerberos! azazel, the leader of bonebound, nearly gets pounced by the massive puppy-- but giggle gives the dog a good scolding. azazel tells everyone about the massive bone in monoceros, sparking mild curiosity in the pup.
"Kerberos, eh? I hope you don't eat me. I taste bad."
kerberos has a hard time hunting on his own in canis, but giggle's son, a painted dog pup the same age as him, comes over to help him out. the unequally sized dogs become unlikely friends, though kerberos falls asleep by accident.
"Do all three of you have different names?"

kerberos meets the smallest fox with the hugest ears he's ever seen. after being told that no, he can't eat her ears, quix is quick to fawn over him and tells him why gembounds only eat lesser gembounds.
“We see, feel, hear and know our surroundings. It is not right to eat something that feels as much as we do. They are equal.”
kerberos accidentally breaks the ice under his paws and is saved by a friendly dolphin. together, the white pup conqures his fear of the water and makes a new friend.
"Ekikoo eee iki Eeya? Eeeeaaaakikikoo eekiieee?"

kerberos exits canis through tunnel k, travels through orion and tunnel i, and enters polaris
kerberos goes looking for usui and finds him with another lion. curious as to what they're doing, he tries to chase off a bird-- and finds out they're after golems. he offers his strength to help.
"And don't use any magic. Golems pick up on it and react."
kerberos finds a newborn kitten who has just hatched at the throne of orion. a leopard comes, claiming the spot his home, and kerberos fights to protect the child. an unlikely friend to the leopard king shows up, forcing kerberos to make a choice.'
"You're fuckin' dense if you think a pup like you scares me! GET OUT OF MY HOME!"
kerberos flees with the newborn artemïs to the tunnel of ice and water. as he gets water back into her system, a bond of brother and sister is formed between the pair.
