Reviving Stones
Characters can revive these stones through the use of a
Give Life spell. Granted, characters must still be a minimum of 4 cycles old to revive a stone, and the breeding cooldown of 4 cycles still applies. Using a Give Life spell, a hybrid of the awakening character and the stone's original Gembound will develop within the stone's chrysalis.
If the Give Life attempt fails on the first roll of a random Player Stone, it will shatter and be destroyed.
Reviving a Quest Stone:
Players do not need permission to revive a quest stone. Once the stone is in their character's possession, they may do with it what they like. The revived character will also belong to the player, and the player has the option to play the revived character, or put them up for adoption.
Appearance: The appearance of the hybrid character will be designed by staff.
Reviving a Player Stone:
As these stones once belonged to the character of another player, the original player must first give permission for the stone to be revived, and also because
it has a chance to fail and be destroyed forever.
If successful, the revived character will be property of the original player, and the original player has the option to play the revived character, give them to the player of the awakening character, or put them up for adoption.
Appearance: The appearance of the hybrid character can be designed by the original player or the awakener's player.
Keep in mind that upon using the Give Life spell on a stone, players must wait 30 days for the new character to develop in the chrysalis and emerge as a playable character.
An asterisk (*) denotes a stone that was on the list before we implemented the change to how Give Life would affect Player Stones, and those stone will not be affected by this change.
